Not if Haney is the Aggies starting corner. Man he got his (I can't express myself without swearing) burned on that post the other day like he did every time he had 0 coverage or even help with Colorado State being exhibit A. Gotta get some secondary juco guys.MetsJetsAggies wrote: ↑December 18th, 2018, 2:14 pmYeah if all the guys coming back from injury are back to normal, that has the makings of one of our best defenses ever. That LB corps will rival the Fackrell/Vigil(s) years

Haney can continue to grow. Also remember Ingram. Be interesting to see where Gary plays him next year. One other name that I think will have a big jump is Z Jackson.

Curious if anyone has heard if any of the redshirted stood out this year? I know that South looked very good and wouldn't be surprised to see him start. Btw him and several others listed will be freshman and not sophomores. I love the new redshirt rule.

I know Julius Brown raved about the potential of Zahodri Jackson and Andre Grayson.

I thought Jackson looked good; Grayson didn't look good. We need to recruit better in the DB area and not have rely on walkons to be starters.

I agree. Although we have had some really good walkons.USUBlue wrote: ↑December 18th, 2018, 3:33 pmI thought Jackson looked good; Grayson didn't look good. We need to recruit better in the DB area and not have rely on walkons to be starters.

Re: A look at the 2019 Depth Chart
Concerns in order:
1) Secondary - Losing a lot here and even then our pass D wasn't great
2) Receivers - As talked about
3) OL - Losing a lot. But with Alfred as anchor I think the next group will be good.
I think we'll be running the ball more next year.
Our defensive line and LBs look very stout.

We'll be getting Ingram and Boyd back in the secondary. I think we're losing a lot more at WR.UtahStizzle wrote: ↑December 18th, 2018, 5:47 pmConcerns in order:

Who are we even losing in the secondary? Rocquemore and Wade? Doesn't seem like too much to me. And we should get a bunch of guys back who got injured this season

Re: A look at the 2019 Depth Chart
A thought that I had, and I doubt there is more info out there yet, but does anyone even know what defense we will run? Gary and Ena kinda come from the 4-3 defense, but Gary made the transition to 3-4 because of the depth of our LBs vs our DL, the 3-3-5 was brought in with Patterson. Depending on alignment there could be corresponding position changes (Gajkowski sp? back to safety instead of the hybrid position, etc) that could help hide some of the depth in the secondary (Gaj and Bond at saftey, Ingram, Williams, and Haney at CB, plus the possibility of others stepping up

It would have been a lot cooler if your first post had been good news.
