North Dakota State

Post by AggieFBObsession » December 27th, 2018, 11:30 am

North Dakota State since 2010
Undefeated against the FBS:
Wins
2010, Kansas: 6-3
2011, Minnesota: 37-24
2012, Colorado State: 22-7
2013, Kansas State: 24-21
2014, Iowa State: 34-14
2016, Iowa: 23-21

WOW!

I can't remember the last time that Utah State won a road game against the P5.

To be fair, we aren't playing teams like Kansas, Minnesota, or Kansas State. What they've done is impressive but if we had that lineup of P5 teams instead of Auburn, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and USC I think we'd have some wins.

Nor Iowa nor Iowa State. Very impressive what NDSU has done. And they get the mid-level guarantee they need. But they'd have the same record as us against the P5s we've played to the the guarantees we need.

Nobody here knows anything.

Kansas was 3-9 in 2010.
Minnesota was 3-9 in 2011.
Colorado State was 4-8 in 2012.
Kansas State was 8-5 in 2013
Iowa State was 2-10 in 2014.
Iowa was 8-5 in 2016.

Iowa and Kansas State were solid teams in the years NDSU beat them, but not great P5 teams. The other three were basically garbage teams the years NDSU beat them.

How often do we see mwc teams like Wyoming and Fresno State play a team like Minnesota and they still don't win on the road. We recently had Wake Forest on the road, who I hardly consider a P5 team, and we still couldn't win.

I certainly will not contest that argument. But it is separate, and unrelated to the fact that NDSU has not played P5 teams at the top of their game.
