Was he ... or did he?

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

He clearly gave up and just bailed out. This would explain why he couldn't even get a verbal commitment from his top recruit QB nephew.

Looks like he will be. He was Temple’s head coach for about two weeks...Awkward!

Their class that is like #40 on rivals? It won't take a hit. This might let them keep a couple guys like Stevenson and Bogle.

I was a grad student at UGA when Richt started. He had a couple bone-headed 1st year coach decisions (see the Auburn game in 2001), but overall had a good first year. He got better and better from there. Overall, he impressed me as a class act in every way. I'm sad to see him hang it up.

Manny Diaz has been a pretty good DC for Miami.

Richt isn't done for good. He'll be back soon. He just needed to get out of Miami and they weren't firing him anytime soon. Retirement/quitting was his only option.
