Re: USC now interested in Yost???????
That's interesting, I haven't seen Yost's name mentioned by anyone at Utah, but I have heard things out of SC...

Re: USC now interested in Yost???????
It would be ironic if after Yost took the job here with the lack of security with Wells on the hot seat, he were to leave a fairly safe job at Texas Tech for the insecure job at USC with Helton on the hot seat.

This thread mentions Sanford as a candidate to replace Kingsbury.

There’s no way that Sanford goes to SC.
We should realistically be prepared for a one and done season from him though.

Re: USC now interested in Yost???????
I could be wrong, but I don't think Yost is interested in the bright light anymore. He had that earlier in his career and didn't seem happy with it. It may well be that the TT job is as far to the edges of the box he wants to go.

Mike Sanford who met with Helton regarding the position before Kingsbury became available will probably Helton's first call. He is now the OC at Utah St after being fired as head coach at Western Kentucky. Prior to that he was OC at Boise St and Notre Dame.
Sanford is not an Air Raid guy and given the issues on the West Coast in terms of good OL, personally I would prefer a call to Graham Harrell. USC has better WR than any other school in the Pac-12, but under Martin/Helton we did not capitalize on creating 1 on 1 match ups for these guys.
Helton has never been known for his rolodex, and I think his options will be limited given the tenuous nature of his job. If it's not Sanford, than I would expect him reach out to Fisch. Hope I am wrong.

That is correct Mike Sanford Jr. will be the new OC and QB coach. Everyone else is a pipe dream.”

I'm not sure we should believe everything someone posts on a message board (USC's, or USU's).

Thanks. Couldn’t tell if he was there or not during the timeout. I’ll take that as a good sign.AggieFella wrote: ↑January 9th, 2019, 6:51 pmHe is in the house tonight at the basketball game. Chill!

As recently as yesterday, Sanford has stated that he is going nowhere and since he has been hired on at USU, he has turned down 2 BIG-10 job offers.AGGZILLA wrote: ↑January 9th, 2019, 2:34 pmFrom the SC message board:

Re: USC now interested in Yost???????
That's great. However, it also means that if we're successful going forward, he probably won't be here more than three years, tops. Possibly only one. But then, that's just the norm for successful coaches at Utah State.aggies22 wrote: ↑January 10th, 2019, 5:21 amAs recently as yesterday, Sanford has stated that he is going nowhere and since he has been hired on at USU, he has turned down 2 BIG-10 job offers.AGGZILLA wrote: ↑January 9th, 2019, 2:34 pmFrom the SC message board:

I'm sure this will just be considered coach speak but Sanford Jr. also said that he is tired of moving around and would like to provide a little stability for his children and would like to stay around for awhile.LKGates wrote: ↑January 10th, 2019, 8:54 amThat's great. I’m hopeful that Sanford becomes the hottest coaching candidate NEXT year.
One way or another Anderson needs to start filling his Rolodex with names.

Re: USC now interested in Yost???????
So ... third party induces second party to breach his agreement with first party by giving second party a promise of a big wad of cash. Interference with contract? Punitive damages? Break the power conferences' easy interference with anybody that comes sniffing around their boodle bags?
How to set it up in an employment agreement so that it's feasible?
Employment lawyers? What say'ee?

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Re: USC now interested in Yost???????
I'm not positive but I think most of these assistant jobs have contracts very favorable to employee and third party recruiting. In a world where they have little year to year security and no long term guarantees it would be hard to attract good assistants otherwise. I would guess anyway?USU78 wrote: ↑January 10th, 2019, 10:39 amSo ... third party induces second party to breach his agreement with first party by giving second party a promise of a big wad of cash.
