I don’t know if this is a PWO, scholarship now, or a push forward but I’m glad he landed here. I liked what I saw in his film. I though with a late push by Kansas that he wouldn’t land here but the coaching staff is on point. Collins is absolutely killing it!
Another great pickup. I think he’s a push forward. His offer at KU had to be a push forward too since they are so short on scholarships. Word from the KU board after his visit was that he wanted to be closer to home, so not surprised about this pickup. That being said, it is great to get a recruit that Les Miles wanted.

Yet another from the Pac NW. Loving this new pipeline.
I think it he visited KU he wasn’t eligible to be a push forward. He also officially visited Air Force (same time as jojo hawkins i believe). Really good get as a push foreword. Also this is not a Collins recruit. Ena offered him right after he was hired.

22-Is it correct that guys who are push forewords, will not officially be announced this week as part of this class?

Any idea of the back-up plan for OL if Hill and Thomas both fall through?
In the event that both players fell through, I think we'd try and bring in 3* OL Lokahi Pauole from Hawaii.

The push forward guys can be admitted to the university on signing day. Jackson Owens did that back in December. Once a kid has been admitted to the university regardless if he will be on scholarship or a walk-on, the coaching staff is then able to talk about the player because he is now considered a member of the university. So I think we'll see all these guys announced and talked about by the coaches. The thing to watch for is how they word the tweet announcing the signing.

Also, you are correct about AJ and Kansas. Once a kid takes an official visit and/or receives a home visit from the Head Coach he is considered a "recruited" athlete and is no longer eligible to be pushed forward or "blueshirted". If you are hearing or seeing the term "blueshirt", that's what "push forward" is termed as.

This assumes he cares about mispronunciations, which empirical evidence would suggest he does not.

To be fair, he has done much better with name pronunciation since being re-installed in his role for football IMO.

So just to bring it up to speed, we are primarily waiting on:

(1) Tyreese Jackson/Riley Burt (RB) (I think we get one of these two; probably Burt)
(2) Hunter Hill (OL) (I’m feeling good about this one for some reason)
(3) Cole Thomas (OL) (I think he takes the PWO at Washington)

JoJo Hawkins seems to be retweeting USU stuff still, there’s the Safety teammate of AJ Carter and the other Texas WR Carter tweeted about coming to USU, Jordan Nathan’s buddy from UCLA... Anyone else?

We’re going to be fielding some pretty damn talented teams over the next few seasons.

Maybe when Jackson tweeted that he was committing Wednesday he meant signing day Wednesday.

I'm sure you're joking but we were actually one of his first offers.

I think Taufa has been gone for a little while now. He's visiting SUU and tweeting about an offer from Snow. Odd behavior if he were still committed.

I don't know what the hell is going on with him? He voluntarily DM'd one of my colleagues a few weeks ago and told him he was still coming and that he had decided to go on a mission.

What I like about this class is that we are not only getting good athletes, but we are getting Champions.

-Jaylen Warren was a two time state champion at East
-Cooper Legas is a multi-sport champion
-Ajani Carter won the 6A Texas State Championship on the most clutch catch I've ever seen.

There might even be more. Point is, the best way to build a championship culture is to bring in people who have already won championships and know what it takes.

A couple of recruting news.

Dorian Hewett, who is Ajani Carter's teammate and who we recently offered just committed to USC. How about they get Hewett if we get Hill!

Christian Hunter a RB from California committed to Colorado State. Do they have room for Tyreese Jackson?

Good stuff Blitz. I’ve kind of written off Jackson. But it seems that out of his top 3, 2 have taken other running backs.

Not likely at all. He's been shopping himself out to the PAC-12 the entire act and being kept on the back burner got old for us.

Of Thomas's final three we are the only school that has offered a scholarship. Washington and Texas Tech are preferred walk-on offers.

With only a handful of scholarships available my wish list includes:
Tyreese Jackson
Ajani Carter
Brandon Pierce
Hunter Hill
Cooper Legas
Jojo Hawkins
Wild card - Liloa Kapiko (probably not taking another DE but I like him)
Push forward - AJ Vongpachanh (just got a Kansas offer so I doubt it)
Aiming for the stars - Lolani Langi
Also, I’m assuming that Jaylen Warren has committed. What is your best case scenario?
Well, I got half of it right. I’m pumped we got the ones I was right on! I wish the others well but it’s time to move on...GO AGGIES!! How did everyone else do and are you happy with your picks.

Count me as someone who is very disappointed we stopped recruiting Brandon Pierce. I was really high on him. I can't believe that we're going to sign 0 JC WR's as it currently looks right now.

Why not at least still have Pierce in for a visit in case we strike out elsewhere? I'm flummoxed :headscratch:. I know it's likely we'll be bringing in a grad transfer WR, now it's looking like maybe we'll actually be bringing in two? That's the only solution I can come with up.
I would be really curious to know if we truly could've signed Brandon Peirce this past winter and we stopped recruiting him, or if we stopped because he told us there was no interest because he was going p5.

His recruitment is blowing up now. He now has offers from, Arizona, Arizona State, Oklahoma, & Indiana among others.
