...having just looked in on utefans.net to see their take on the transfer of Mariner and Repp, I was reminded of what a garbage fansite that is. Every other thread is a long political pissing match -- much more about the president and the wall and whatnot than actual fan discussion. It didn't used to be like that, but that place is a trashhole.

What needs to be said is: THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES to ProvoAggie and Aglicious for this beautiful, ad-free, heaven of a message board. Well moderated, beautifully designed, constantly maintained -- what a gift those guys give us every day. Hoop, footy and miscellaneous boards kept on topic by good mods. Even-handed enforcement of the few rules needed to keep the discussions civil even if argumentative. (Even providing The Sandbox for those who (inexplicably) want to argue politics and current affairs on a team-focused message board.) Super link-rich headers, great chat room on game days, audio and video archives....... all as an act of love and solidarity by the two founders, one of whom didn't even attend USU (I propose he receive an honorary degree.)

THIS is something I can support!
All it takes is a trip to utefans, cougarboard, ramnation, or any of several other sites, to appreciate how great this board is. Well designed, user friendly.

Like Turtle, I don't post often but I check this message board several times a day. (Okay, disclaimer...I am a REALLY old Aggie, maybe one of the oldest who frequents this site, and I am retired...so I have the time to check the board as often as I like!!) Yes, this site is awesome and great kudos to Aglicious and ProvoAggie for making it so! Years ago, when I was in the Air Force and Stationed In Germany, the only news I received about the Aggies was maybe a two-day old line score in the "Stars and Stripes!" We've come a long ways! Thanks again guys...GO AGGIES!!

Utefans is weird, and it's Utah's only real fansite message board, the others are a ghost town. And I thought these guys were PAC 12. I think their viewership has actually diminished over the years.

I totally agree. I am one who doesn't post very often, but I do visit the board at least daily. Thank you so much for the time and effort that goes into this board. I have visited the boards from a few other teams and am always frustrated with the confusing layouts and the lack of professionalism in the site. You guys do an amazing job.

You guys are too kind.

It's hard to believe that this past November marked the 8-year anniversary of this place. I think this is now approaching the longest time we have been in any one place as a fan base since the invention of the interwebs. Thank you to those that supported the creation and move to this site from the beginning. A few doubted it could be sustainable, claiming it would be too much time and money to be a long term solution. Little did those doubters know that all we had was tons of time and lots of money. Okay that's a lie, but what we did have was enough people with the knowledge and will to make it happen and that was more important.

This place is great because all of you help make it that way with your contributions and unique personalities. I feel like this weird little Aggie family we've created together is a great outlet and resource for many of us throughout our mundane daily routines. For some of us it probably crosses that line into addiction....okay, who are we kidding? that is probably the case for almost all of us. In any case, I am grateful for the many people that have put time into not only moderating but also for creating contests, recording video, etc. This place truly helps me keep my sanity.

For those that don't post often, don't be shy. For those that are relatively new, welcome. For those that are students, spread the word - we don't have as many of you on here as we used to. For all you long-timers, thank you and keep it rolling!
