I'd like to hear what you think you know
Once you hear, can you let us know the details, so that we are all given ample opportunity to be judgmental and condescending?
Seriously.....
My point is that this is 100% fabricated rumor. Stop spreading garbage that isn't true.
What's a rumor? That Thompson feels that he needs to declare for the draft this year? That's not a rumor, it's fact supported by the evidence that he has ACTUALLY declared for the draft. What his reasons are for feeling that way don't matter because he's doing the smart thing. If Thompson can make a roster (which I think he can) this is obviously the right choice. We can whine about how it hurts our team, but going into the draft right now is much better for Thompson than staying at USU another year for lots of reasons. The chief among those reasons is that staying another year won't increase his NFL standing enough (and increase his rookie deal enough) to offset the opportunity cost of losing a year of being paid to play NFL football.
No... re-read what was said above... I never said anything about him declaring for the draft being a rumor nor did I say it was a bad idea. The rumor that one is insinuating on this thread is that he was forced to declare because he couldn't come back. It's absolute garbage and made up.
All that was stated was "Think about the situations where a young man would have no other choice but to go early. Apply one to Darwin because that’s the reality."

You're choosing to infer that the situation was relating to eligibility. There are lots of situations - chief among them is finances. And declaring for the draft NOW makes way more financial sense than staying at USU another year.
You're just arguing for arguing sake now... You know exactly what was being insinuated. Not going to get in a pissing match. This is my last response to this.
Rat knows what he's talking about. We all should listen to the man.

I have no doubt that Thompson is doing the right thing for the right reasons. He's making a wise choice to go to the NFL now.

It's sad we have some fans who have sour grapes about it.

Apparently CBS Sports feels Darwin was snubbed also, listing him as one of the eight biggest combine snubs:

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/new ... nior-bowl/

They say he “runs like an angry hornet.”

A friend and I actually run a podcast through Aggie Radio and we have set up an interview with Darwin for this Friday. Anything you guys would be interested in us asking him about?

Good job! There’s a lot I would like to hear about.

What was his recruitment process like and how did he end up at USU?

What went into the process behind the scenes of him declaring for the nfl draft and when did he know?

What was his favorite thing about the usu football team this past year?

How did he like living in Logan?

What’s the most he’s ever squatted and front squatted?

Was he surprised that he wasn't invited to the combine?

Ask him how so many forum members became so intimately familiar with the details of his personal life that they can act as authorities on the topic.

Also a hot dog is technically a sandwich. I don't like it, but it's science.

So if a hot dog between a bun is considered a sandwich, what else could be considered a sandwich?

Technically a hot dog is the sandwich, which consists of a frankfurter (or if you're from Austria, a weiner), between a bun.

Oreo = cookie sandwich.
Waffles = not unless you're using the waffles as the main delivery mechanism for the syrup to reach your mouth, bub.
Tootsie Pop = please don't disparage sandwich science.
Human in car = For Godzilla, yes. For you, maybe.

USUFans = love sandwich.

Waffles = not unless you're using the waffles as the main delivery mechanism for the syrup to reach your mouth, bub. obviously...
Tootsie Pop = please don't disparage sandwich science. Are you saying burritos are not sandwiches? I posit that Toosie Pops are equal to a burrito in fundamental structure.
Human in car = For Godzilla, yes. For you, maybe. Is the definition of a sandwich different for everyone?
Does one have to be able to eat the sandwich? I didn't think that was a requirement. If I got two pieces of bread the size of a school bus and smothered 500 lbs of peanut butter between them, would that be considered a sandwich only for Godzilla? Or for me as well? I certainly couldn't eat such a sandwich.

USUFans = love sandwich. Tru, tru

As a long-time fan of John Hodgman (seen him live multiple times) and his podcast "Judge John Hodgman," I can tell you this debate has raged on for years.

See, for example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80p6_WY-x6w

http://dish.allrecipes.com/these-judge- ... inary-law/

I tend to disagree with Hodgman as I would define a sandwich as two portions of bread (even if those "portions" are two halves of a roll split only partially so that it is still hinged) enveloping either meat or another edible filling. Whether you regularly slice the "sandwich" in half seems to be an irrelevant distinction without a difference.

The question I find much more pressing is whether a chowder is a soup. Or what about chili? Is that a soup?

Also, is there any rational person who truly believes placing a toilet paper roll so the paper comes from the bottom rather than over the top makes any practical sense?

Finally, anyone who prefers Miracle Whip to mayonnaise simply cannot be trusted.

That is all.

The toilet paper thing is for people with cats and/or small children. Harder to unroll it by just spinning it.

Good luck to Thompson, what a dynamic player, and a huge part of our success last season. I definitely see him in the NFL but have no idea where he'd go in the draft

I'm just happy that Tipa Galeai is coming back for his senior season......right?
