New recuit Brantt Opheikens....
6'4" 220 lbs., from the Ogden area. Decent speed, good frame. The kind of kid that this program has developed into all-league or NFL talent year after year. Looks like a good get to me.

I think we'll see this kid end up being a contributor. He the 3rd Weber kid we took this year.

I remember coaching against this kid when he was a sophomore. He’s very strong and physical. I’m happy with the pick up

Did his mom spill her Scrabble pouch on his birth certificate or something?

With him being a walk-on it's not a big deal. I don't know if he's a mission first kid or not. Even if he's not, all it means is that a walk-on from last years team has chosen to move on and we needed to fill a spot.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑February 2nd, 2019, 11:00 pmDidn’t know we were still looking at LBs

According to this, he is taking a scholarship to Weber state instead.

Yes. The Weber High coach Matt Hammer joined the Weber State staff and Brandt wanted to play for him.hvaggie wrote: ↑February 13th, 2019, 9:53 pmAccording to this, he is taking a scholarship to Weber state instead.
