Not here for spring ball that I'm aware of. Mariner, Repp, Burt and Warren and all the incoming freshman will be included in my fall camp positional previews that I've been releasing for the past five or so years. My focus on these spring ball battles is strictly on who is currently enrolled and available to participate in spring ball.
But seriously, aren't there a few signees that are already attending classes and will participate in Spring ball?

This group is a little scary, outside of Jordan and (to some extent) Thompkins. Excited to get Ajani Carter, Cam Lampkin and Mariner in, and see how they compliment Jordan!

I think we are actually gonna be fine. Our QB is awesome at getting the ball where it needs to go. Jordan will do what he does, ....there wont be soooo much switching personnel this year so if they win the starting spot, then you will see players in more consistently and more confidence built by end of Summer camp. I am so excited for what's coming!!!

So we are going to stay with a solid core then for the most part? Sorry if I missed something, I hadn't heard this. I did hear that Coach Saford said we would be just as fast at getting the snap off as last Season, maybe even faster at times. If the going quicker is true then the solid core would help. Thanks for the info

I want to see us find some stability in receiving corps and then letting them play. What good did it do to have 3 guys playing equal time at every position?
Tarver was the only guy that seemed to get targeted more than 5 times per game.

This is why I think Jordan Nathan could have a big year. He doesn't have to share time with Aaren Vaughns and DJ Nelson.

I just have a hunch that Mariner will fill the Tarver role perfectly. Calling it now that he has the most WR TDs this season.

My wild guess is that in the fall we will see:
X - Mariner, Heckstall
Z - Scarver, Nathan
T - Nathan, Thompkins
with the rest finding time at whatever position they can in this order of most playing time:
Compton
Patrick
Carter
Prince
Curtis
Lampton
I may be way off on Heckstall, but last year there was no reason to have him taking any of Carver's time and Compton got some time there as a sure handed possession receiver. This year he could get more time as Carver was used unless Mariner ends up earning all of those reps. I see Heckstall getting the least amount of time of the top five. Nathan probably gets the most.
Hopefully we have at least two more other than Compton of the next group break out and earn significant playing time.

Like to have a possession guy, a speed guy and someone who can run patterns out of the slot. I agree with the previous posts, Nathan could have a huge year. Just having Scarver on the field could open up a lot of things for the offense. This group's success will be directly related to our OLine play.
Bubble screen!!!! hahahahahah, oh man, this might be the year that we learn to love that play. Scarver and Nathan will be great options because no CB will want to press them at the LOS.
Speed Kills!!!!

GUESSSSS WHO IS NOW AN OUTSIDE RECEIVER???
My favvvvv lil human
I have no desire to make Jordan choose between us. It would be unfair to his mother to make her watch as he picks me.
Well done on the banter. Perhaps he could be cloned?
Oh Lord, the world cannot handle 2 of him!!!
Serious question though, is production really that low on the outside that he has to move? I thought he was a perfect little slot guy and kind of small for the outside?
Tim Patrick has not been a full participant in practice for nearly two weeks and Heckstall has been out nearly a week. None of it is serious but they are limited. If guys can't stay healthy, they have to find someone who can. I think this is what prompted Jordans move to the outside.
