Was the energy high with the team and coaches? How did the new coaches interact with the players vice versa, did everyone seem engaged? Thanks in advance.

It was definitely high energy and everyone was very engaged! It looked like Gary had never left the field. I took my wife with me and she commented about how she thought that the practice seemed more uptempo and things were moving at a much faster pace than in the past. I will say that for the first practice of the spring it wasn't very well attended and that was a little disappointing. I'll bet there were only like 12 people there. Shout out to GFA for stopping by to say hello!

He looks thicker. I think when he got here he was about 260 or so. I'd say he's 280 or so now.

I'm not in Logan, but I wonder how much attendance would be affected by the basketball team's success. For the last six or seven years I would imagine the community was starving for football while sludging through the doldrums of another lackluster basketball season.

How would you compare first day attendance now vs in the past few seasons?

How's our new OC operate during practice?

OD players really want spectators at practice? i get that it shows excitement and support for the program, but do players really care about that. I'm glad that you go and give updates, but I really didn't know that going to watch practice was a thing.

I've seen more excitement for the first day in the past but no I don't think the players care at all how many people come to practice.

Very engaged and very positive. He worked with the quarterbacks when the team was broken into position specific drills. He lets the position coaches coach their positions.

What was your detailed evaluation of our RB I really believe this is where we will prosper I know it’s early and we are still waiting on the JC transfer and the grad transfer. What’s the deal with Enoch and Nelson how did they measure up

Everyone added 15 lbs of muscle and guys were flying around enthusiastically, and we're going to do great things this year. Isn't that every school's first practice report?

I'm still wondering why we have moved Chase Nelson to RB. He's a fantastic athlete, I just don't see where he is going to pick up any carries. Nawahine actually took some reps with the first team. One thing I think both kids have going for them is their ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. They both seemed to be able to do that very fluidly. I didn't have a ton to go off of yesterday but I did notice that.

This is an awfully rangy offensive line: 6'7 (6'6) + 6'4 + 6'3 + 6'4 + 6'5. Remember how ranginess of Lucifer's OLs shocked the SL press and intimidated opponents in '97? Big, fast, mean, intimidating. This bunch reminds me of those guys. Hard to believe only one full-time starter returns (though Ali'ifua started two games). Can't help getting excited here.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I had the same thought. I've heard that every year, so they must be absolute giants that are going to break the sound barrier next year.
