Utes lose a starter
Utah is losing manny Bowen a penn state transfer that was really supposed to help their linebacker group. That is their weakest position on defense and suddenly got weaker. Sounds familiar to the Ja’Marcus news. We aren’t the only team.

Oh shoot. Oh darn. I hope this doesn't affect the Utes in any way, like potentially losing to BYU. That would be very sad and definitely not funny at all.

Re: Utes lose a starter
Both events are very untimely. IF Ja'marcus does indeed leave, he's leaving for academic reasons and seeking to further his education while using football as his opportunity to do so. Manny Bowen is a quitter.

Both programs can collectively jump into a pit of vipers.YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑July 31st, 2019, 7:04 amOh shoot. Oh darn. I hope this doesn't affect the Utes in any way, like potentially losing to BYU. That would be very sad and definitely not funny at all.

Re: Utes lose a starter
That's very unfair. He has apparently said he no longer has the desire to play football. Why is that necessarily a negative? How does that make him a "quitter". If anything, he demonstrates the courage of his convictions.

Being a quitter isn't always negative. I quit a tobacco habit and that was good for me. I quit working as a bus boy at Sizzler. Glad I'm not doing that anymore. Think of all the things you've quit doing over there years, how many do you regret? Quitting is most often good.

I agree with some BYU fans that 1-11 with a win over the Utes is enough for a successful season.Madmartigan wrote:Both programs can collectively jump into a pit of vipers.

I quit washing dishes at Ponderosa Steakhouse (steakhouse being loosely defined in this scenario). I quit rooting for BYU as soon as I stepped onto USU campus.brownjeans wrote: ↑July 31st, 2019, 8:08 amBeing a quitter isn't always negative. I quit a tobacco habit and that was good for me. Those that think a 1-11 season is a success if they beat Utah show's me that being a indy is the wrong path for anyone.

All 3 teams in state, USU, Utah & BYU have suffered impactful attrition right before the season.

It's all Gary Andersen's fault.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑July 31st, 2019, 9:26 amAll 3 teams in state, USU, Utah & BYU have suffered impactful attrition right before the season.
