Re: Ingram transferring
I've always been told in the corporate world you never ever want to burn bridges with current or past employers because it could come back to bite you. If what 22 and others have said is true, Ingram got to learn that lesson way before his professional career started.

Your assumption is correct.Aggie19 wrote: ↑August 4th, 2019, 2:26 pmI would assume that he doesn't have much choice to stay at USU with all the garbage he pulled. In an earlier post, Aggies22 stated, "I've been led to believe he would not be welcome back at Utah State"

Oof. I feel bad for him. Sounds like he trusted the wrong folks.

Sounds like he may not pull things together to graduate. If he's not a grad transfer, he'll likely need to drop to FCS to finish.

Wells casually (I can't express myself without swearing) this kid over for a chance at a decent CB that would’ve joined camp two weeks late. What a scumbag.

Isn't there a rule that prohibits kids from dropping down a level of they will be seniors?brownjeans wrote:Sounds like he may not pull things together to graduate. If he's not a grad transfer, he'll likely need to drop to FCS to finish.

Re: Ingram transferring
I think they have to have two years of eligibility to transfer down. Did he already redshirt? If he graduates then he can go anywhere.
I did a quick search and this was from SB Nation:
"Football players who go from an FBS team to an FCS team (or from FCS to FCS teams that don’t offer scholarships) don’t have to sit a season, as long as they have two years of eligibility left. Same for anyone transferring to the non-scholarship Division III."

Re: Ingram transferring
Wouldn't Weber require him to have earned so many credits from their University before they would be willing to award him with his degree? I wonder if he is booted from the team and ends up staying 1 more semester at USU just to finish school. Have we ever had this kind of situation occur? This is the first I've heard of this happening.

Re: Ingram transferring
So Wells screws over his alma mater, former employer, and former player. Nice guy.

Ingram will only be a junior.dyedblue wrote: ↑August 4th, 2019, 9:19 pmIsn't there a rule that prohibits kids from dropping down a level of they will be seniors?brownjeans wrote:Sounds like he may not pull things together to graduate. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Re: Ingram transferring
I hope that if Ingram feels jaded by promises from Texas Tech and ends up playing FCS ball and loses out on even getting a whiff from the NFL that he starts spilling beans about what happened. The NCAA needs to do something about these sorts of shenanigans.

Re: Ingram transferring
Lots of comments with no data
Somewhere it said he got in trouble and this was his own undoing. Others, based primarily in hate for wells, said MW violated rules. Others say, hey, I wanted to follow a coach I worked with and maybe was in GA’s dog house.
If he’s gone, so be it. We all know the words, next man up.
