Yeah, the thing is we used to be only winning three games a year, with BYU NOT being one of them, so we would be hoping for the one game fluke win against them. Then when that happened in 2010, it was easy to appreciate Borel leading us to 4 wins cause one of them was BYU and forget the rest of the year. Of course, then when we starting winning more games than that, it was easier to forget about Borel.

That said, the other thing about Borel I'll never forget is a scramble on 4th down late in a game at San Jose State to keep us alive. That game for me ended a 20 game road losing streak for me.

We also have a commitment have North Shore cornerback Upton Stout. Official offers have also been made to a pair of Florida high schoolers safety Eddie Jackson and cornerback Jamal Potts.

I think the odds are better that Coop goes on a mission before he becomes a safety. I have a personal reasoning behind why I say that. I'd be happy to discuss it if you'd like to PM me?

As we should. The main reason we had so many big 20+ yard plays was the speed and tempo. Not letting subs or even defensive calls into the game. If you find a mismatch exploit it.

I love watching the opposing defenses scramble to keep up with our offense. It makes me happy.

Gary has already said in interviews he's preparing Love to be able to go under center and "be a quarterback" when up tempo isnt't working like a few cold weather games last year.

I'll throw these two little nuggets out there. On Saturday and Monday, the defense implemented at 4-3 scheme that featured Cash Gilliam in the "Rocquemore" role. Also, Caden Andersen has been moved to the offensive line.

And here I understood the "O" line was solid enough so we didn't need any J C linemen. What spot will Caden Andersen be assigned to play?

True Story!

I assume with Caden it's moving guys to where they'll be most successful for their body type/skills. Haney said they had moved him to Safety because of how he moves. In Kyle Whimpey's recent sit down with Wild Bill he talks about how coaches wanted him to move to guard because his physical skills would fit better there in the NFL. With Caden, I assume they don't see him fitting at DT. I would guess his physical skill set lends more to the offensive line. Because of that, I doubt they see it as much of a loss on D and a potential better fit on O if he can get up to speed. I've yet to question any of Gary's positional changes. I can't think of any that didn't work out.

Solid practice today.

The Oline was the last position group to leave the field. I think one positive is they are going against a really good Dline.

That hurry up left defenses gassed the whole season and kept us in a good place to win 11 games. I hope we keep seeing it.

They were golfing at the end of the practice. Trying to hit the ball from endzone and make it land on the Blue on the 50.

I wasn't going to say anything but since you brought it up, Woodward did not practice and hasn't since Wednesday when he left practice half way through.

I hope it is nothing serious. Outside of losing love we cannot afford to lose him. He is is fun to watch. Not flashy just as aound as they come.

Looks like Cam Lampkin has from receiver to corner. I like it.

How is the Hunter Hill kid from Orem looking on the OL? He was a really big recruit if I remember.
