Re: Wyoming
Hopefully our Aggies are watching the this one, We'd better get things figured out quick. Pokes look tough, they are at home, tough place to play but they are giving an SEC team all they want.

Let's see if AgMac's theory turns out to be right. About teams you hate rallying after you post about them losing. You can consider Missouri a team we like less than Wyoming since Missouri is a P5 team.

Wyo will win this game but at a cost. They’re losing players to injury.

Re: Wyoming
So far the conference has fared well against the p5 competition.
PAC 12: 1-1
Big 10: 1-0
ACC: 1-1
SEC: 1-0
Overall 4-2. Fresno looking like they might lose early. However outside of Boise what is the common theme for the teams that posted a win? Same thing for every team that lost? Home and away. It matters especially early.
From a scheduling stand point the conference got lucky as well where they did not have a big time school from a p5 this week. A bunch of middle to lower tier teams which there isn’t much difference as the games have shown.

[They were all at home. It is extremely difficult to win at P5 schools. If we were at home I would have guessed we would win by 2 td's.]

Boise miraculous comeback in the road was impressive, the dogs on the road are still not dead yet. But yeah, I think we win at home, but still very disappointed.

Re: Wyoming
Shut down the run vs. Wyo. and take care of the ball and it is a win. Mizzou made SO many mistakes in that game that led directly to points for the Pokes. Take a look at the stats from this one and tell me how a team that puts up the stats Wyoming did comes out on top....without so many gifts, it's not really close.
Good for them and good for the conference but they can't rely on their opponent shooting their own foot so many times every week.

Missouri had it twice on the 1 yard line and turned it over both times. They also had fumble returned for a TD. Stack the box and stop the run and Chambers will not beat you throwing. We should be fine against WYO.

Re: Wyoming
I want every MWC school to win every game they play but one. It makes us look better for recruiting, more fan interest, possible better T.V. contract. much more media coverage. Perhaps I do not think like the majority of aggie fans. I have been told that.AgMac wrote: ↑August 31st, 2019, 10:30 pmI think if we're honest with ourselves, the majority of us didn't want Wyoming to win.GameFAQSAggie wrote: ↑August 31st, 2019, 8:03 pmLet's see if AgMac's theory turns out to be right. Re: Wyoming
I agree blu. I was cheering for Wyoming. I even cheered for Boise to win. As far as opening weekends go the conference as a whole looked very good. A win like that for Wyoming is gonna have that fan base fired up.oleblu111 wrote: ↑September 1st, 2019, 9:02 amI want every MWC school to win every game they play but one. Re: Wyoming
We have one damn good home schedule with Reno, BSU, and Wyoming coming to Logan. Ybu is not that important, but a win home over them is nice.slcagg wrote: ↑September 1st, 2019, 12:13 pmI agree blu. I have a hard time rooting for WYO I know they are in the conference and I should want them to win in the non conference, but I just can't bring myself to it.

Re: Wyoming
Wyoming scares me. Their defense shut love and our high powered offense down last year. I watched the Missouri game and let me tell you their Defense is legit. Fast and flaying to the ball and creating turnovers! Kind of like ours last year haha.

Re: Wyoming
Be interesting to see what Wyoming does at Texas state this weekend. Not a very good opponent but part of me thinks they will not receive as many lucky breaks as they did last week.

I will take wins any day. I don't care how they come. Fact is, we didn't win. Gary taught us to JFW. Reminds me of Tommy Boy and his restaurant rant.

We won so much last year that we've forgotten the college football season mantra: never get too high after a win, never get too low after a loss.

SDSU is a good team and if we win that game it will be a very good win. We haven't beaten SDSU since 1967, either.918AGG wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2019, 10:02 amYes, the mighty SDSU Aztecs and their 6-0 win over Weber has me shaking in my boots.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2019, 8:09 amAll of a sudden 5 wins on the schedule is starting to look pretty good..

Re: Wyoming
That's fair, but considering 7 losses after a close loss to a solid ACC team in a road season opener seems like a bit much to me. I don't care much for stats back to the 60's. I bring up SDSU because it's a very winnable road game (much like WF) which would, theoretically, get USU on track to 2-2 after LSU.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2019, 10:04 amSDSU is a good team and if we win that game it will be a very good win.
