Injury Update

There seemed to be several players that got hurt that I’m concerned will miss significant time. Any updates on:

Andy Koch
Cash Gillian
Jaylen Warren

Warren returned. It looked like he was cramping up. I hope, and think, that he will be fine

He tapped himself out on the final drive and did not return unlike the previous cramping incident. May have been another cramp but was not clear why he tapped himself out.

Asked someone about warren and Koch. Was told warren is cramps but got no response on Koch.

The way Warren ran off on the last drive made it seem like he was favoring his shoulder/collar bone. Don’t know anything though. That’s just my observation.

I’ve been hearing Aaron Dalton has injured his back again in the same spot. Can anyone confirm on this? Saw the freshman Callister started last night. Looked like Dalton was still holding though?

Looked gassed to me.

I don't have any inside information, but when he went to the sideline he didn't get seen by any of the staff so it didn't look like an iniury.

Jaylen Warren is fine. Dinged up but he’ll be good to go.
It doesn’t look good for Andy Koch.
Fua Leilua is done and won’t get a medical redshirt.

You can do better. Please fix this so they are all healthy, thanks.

GA mentioned in press conference there were injuries with ST teams although he wouldn’t be specific. He said Callister earned it.

Also said he didn’t know about Koch.

Is Lampkin good to go or is he hurt I didn't see him very much on Saturday night I thought he looked good the first two games and showed a lot of promise I was surprised not to see as much of him

Why is a medical redshirt a no go?

I'm curious about this as well. With Fua having to redshirt because he transferred, I figured this would be a slam dunk. Even Dalton and Schuster got 6th years.

Perhaps the early speculation is too negative regarding Fua. Remember a medical red shirt takes time to evaluate and typically occurs after the end of the season. It's never over until it's over..

Maybe Fua wants to move on with his life/career.

This. Maybe the plan will change but at the coaches luncheon Gary was implying Fua is done. I have to assume Fua will be graduated.

Great news. We need all the depth we can get in the secondary against CSU. Any word on any of our injured corners, such as Terin Adams?

The last I saw of him, he had his wrist in a splint.

Thanks for the info. That’s a bummer. Hopefully we have enough horses to beat CSU without him ... and he probably wouldn’t make the difference against LSU, so maybe we’ll see him after the next bye week for the last 7 conference games.

We have some decent depth on the team. Anyone that is remotely banged up I hope we sit the 1st half against CSU and see how the game goes.

We're going to need guys like Gilliam ready to go against LSU in 9 days.

Am I too pessimistic to think our chances are close to zero against LSU even with everyone healthy? I’d rather make sure we lock down our second conference win against CSU than worry about who will be playing against LSU...

Well if the Vegas odds makers are correct (and they typically are) USU should handle CSU.

Usu is a 24 point favorite and at Bovada (a huge betting site) you can’t even bet on the money line because it’s too heavily favored towards usu with not enough action on it.

I would play our 3rds against LSU. Give them some time and keep everyone healthy. LSU is going to be an ugly gsme

Glad Cash will play. I was worried when he left. We can't afford any more injuries in the back end of the defense.

Not surprised about Koch. His injury looked very similar to when we lost Kyle Whimpey against SJSU in 2013.

I just hope Warren will be okay. We need him for conference play.

That’s a recruiting pitch!

Come to USU! After you work your (I can't express myself without swearing) off for over 4 years to finally land that starting spot, you’ll be benched for a 3rd stringer on the biggest stage you may ever have the opportunity to play in.

So in summary we have lost two starters to season ending injuries in fua and Koch. Then we have several guys who have been beat up.

Gilliam was suited up to start the game. His knee was braced up, but it seemed like he wanted to give it a go. In the 2nd half he came out in street clothes. I assume he'll be back after the bye.

Any update on the CB Adams from Arizona State? I know he got hurt in the Wake Forest game, but other than that?
