Zach Wilson surgery; will miss USU game

Looks like we won't get to face Zach Wilson this year. After thumb surgery they're saying 6-8 weeks recovery time. Maybe back in time for the Liberty game.

It doesn't matter, it's only a matter of time before they proclaim his replacement (the Hall kid I believe) next year's frontrunner for the Heisman.

Yes, they are already incubating and blathering excuses. Zack Wilson, the best Q B in the world, was tragically side lined for thumb surgery, which will prevent the team from that location in Utah county from going undefeated the balance of the season and then playing in a much deserved NEW YEARS PREMIER BOWL GAME.

Also, last time BYU had a Heisman candidate named Hall, he also really liked a type of candy. (But HATED Utah)

Who knows, given Sitake's inability to evaluate QB talent, for all we know Hall could be much better than Wilson.

Back ups tend to have early success if they are talented because they are an unknown. The benefit that we'll have, as well as Boise, is the availability of film on him.

He can run. He's fast and athletic. Supposedly he was neck and neck with Wilson in fall camp. For all we know, he might even be an upgrade over Wilson.

It’ll be interesting to see if Hall has the same moxie as Wilson. Wilson is a gutty competitor, overly confident, and doesn’t allow the moment to get too big for him. Time will tell if Hall has the “it” factor like Wilson seems to have.

Wilson did not seem to have much of an arm though. I mean, he was fine short and intermediate, but his arm strength on the long ball or tight windows has seemed suspect. (I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night so I know QB talent when I see it, or not.

The backup QB coming in and doing better than the starter happens a lot. It feels to me like that will be the case with Hall replacing Wilson.

The reason I watch their games is I just love to see them lose! It bugs the hell out o my 7 brother-in-laws that are Zoobs! They always tell me I'm not a good Mormon err,(Latter-day Saint), because I want byu to lose!
