Some Positives
Tough game, but there are some good things:
1. Not everyone on the team was injured
2. We've, so far, held LSU to the lowest points on the season.
3. We're not byu-provo
4. There were some really good plays and at times we moved the ball well against one of the best teams in the country
5. We won't be overmatched for the rest of the season.

Re: Some Positives
I didn't see any positives. That game was a turd that needs to be flushed. I didn't expect us to win by any means, but that was just bad. Especially the offense.

Re: Some Positives
At least we have a bye week next week. We’re going to need it going into the important part of our schedule

Re: Some Positives
We could have gone 0-12 on third down conversions instead of 1-12.
We could have had less than 100 yards of TO instead of 136 yards.
LSU could have had 700 yards of TO instead of only 601 yards
Our biggest rusher could have had only 15 yards instead of 18 yards
The team bus could have crashed on the way to the game
This was a beat down of very large (but not epic) proportion.

Re: Some Positives
Another positive is that we don't have to witness Sanford's playcalling for two more weeks.

Re: Some Positives
Our special teams continue to be the bright spot on our team. Punting game much improved from last year and kicking game is very good thanks to Eberle. He has been the MVP this season in my opinion. His performance vs CSU pretty much won game for us.

Re: Some Positives
Another positive is we have discovered that our fan base is unified in not wanting to play elite teams. If we ever get invited to a NY6 bowl, our AD will know that we should turn down the invitation and save our players for the next season. In fact, we will probably forfeit all 12 regular season games next year so that we can be injury free with the hopes of making it to the Mountain West Conference championship.

I feel the same. I just wanted us to be a tiny hit competitive. We weren't. At all.Mr. Sneelock wrote: ↑October 5th, 2019, 1:27 pmI didn't see any positives. That game was a turd that needs to be flushed. I didn't expect us to win by any means, but that was just bad. Especially the offense.

Re: Some Positives
The only problem with this, that I can see, is if the FCS schools follow suit and refuse to play us - they don't want their players hurt going against "bigger, faster" players in the MWC.ususports wrote: ↑October 5th, 2019, 2:17 pmAnother positive is we have discovered that our fan base is unified in not wanting to play elite teams. Re: Some Positives
Our punting is atrocious. We've got to be close to bottom of fbs in yards per punt.ThunderAggie wrote: ↑October 5th, 2019, 1:42 pmOur special teams continue to be the bright spot on our team. Re: Some Positives
From a fanbase that has been so hungry for P5 wins over the last several years to see a thread on how we shouldn't play big time teams was definitely not something I expected to see on this board. Next year we play at Washington. Very possible they are a top 10 team if not a national title contender. Do people on here want us to cancel the game? It also isn't the 1st game of the season which I guess is the other red flag.FloridaAggie13 wrote: ↑October 5th, 2019, 2:31 pmThe only problem with this, that I can see, is if the FCS schools follow suit and refuse to play us - they don't want their players hurt going against "bigger, faster" players in the MWC.ususports wrote: ↑October 5th, 2019, 2:17 pmAnother positive is we have discovered that our fan base is unified in not wanting to play elite teams. Re: Some Positives
Was it a kick in the head or a kick in the balls??? Trying to compete is different from being able to compete. I must agree with G A about scheduling out of our league. I do believe we learned about playing a very good football team, but at what expense?trevordude wrote: ↑October 5th, 2019, 1:29 pmOne positive may be a good kick in the head might be good moving forward into conference
