Who is our QB for the future. I am not impressed with Columbi or Peasley's throwing ability! Yeah, they can run, but then teams will stack the box and we will be in deep doo!

I'm actually really smart, probably smarter than you are so if you disagree with what I have stated in this post, you are likely wrong (and dumb).

Re: If love does leave this year?? ??
I have this concern too. There is a huge drop-off between Love and everyone else. Somebody on this board made the point that when it's time to put the next guy in, someone will step up because of the competition in the position group and the responsibility. I wouldn't hope for as good of QB as Love because it won't happen but getting Columbi along with a more well rounded team can make a team better than this one even with Love. But who knows this early... Columbi has had some time to develop and watch Love and looked good at SB- may be able to step in and win the games that Love couldn't.

Columbi will be fine. I think he is a better runner. I think he will be a good passer. Who knows how he will be in real game situations with the game on the line.

Does watching Henry hand the ball off in garbage time lead you to believe he can't play? Henry is hands down the next in line at QB.

Henry is very talented. I'm amazed he has stayed...he's a great kid, and he and his family are loyal and believe this is a great place. He could play at a lot of programs. We are lucky to have him...love watching him play. He is a great QB.

Re: If love does leave this year?? ??
What about Columbi leaves you concerned with his throwing ability? He has only played with the backups and he has still played well.
42/50 (84%), 342 yards (6.8 YPA), 2 touchdowns, no interceptions. 112 rushing yards on 16 carries (7 YPC) for a touchdown.
It's one thing to wonder if he can keep it up vs high competition, but I can't understand how watching that production would concern anybody.

It’s Colombi’s team next year. I think his patience will pay off and that he will be great.

What! You mean we don't have a stable of first-round draft pick QBs on this team to step in for Love? Outrage!
Columbi will be good. He's probably the second best QB in the state.

I am looking forward to seeing what colombi can do when that time come. Been very high on him since he spurned multiple p5 schools to become an Aggie.

Check Columbi's stats trout. You are worried about nothing.

Re: If love does leave this year?? ??
I don't think that we will take a huge step back next year with Colombi at QB position (assuming Love leaves). I expect there to be some growing pains, but I think Colombi will be better than half of the quarterbacks in the MW. I think Colombi would be the starter for a majority of teams in the Mountain West right now. I am excited for next season, but even more excited to see how Love finishes his historic Aggie career.
Re: If love does leave this year?? ??
No doubt it's Columbi's team next year. When I saw him throw that perfect dime at SB I knew he was ready for next year.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑October 7th, 2019, 8:23 pmIt’s Colombi’s team next year. I think his patience will pay off and that he will be great.
Checking out the younger guys I was surprised at the Yaro kid's tape, he has a lightning-quick release and I'd love to see what he can do eventually

This might be the most loaded we’ve ever been at QB
I think Colombi is going to be really good and Peasley, Legas, and Calvin are excellent prospects though not sure they all stay at QB
