They don't seem to have the physicality they had under Mendenhall.

I agree. Mendenhall was a bit of an odd duck but his teams always played with an edge.

One big factor is BYU used to be able to get a lot of the top poly kids. Those kids now choose Utah and other schools. Plus BYU seems to have not been able to develop their top recruits either. I only think it gets worse for them over the next 5-10 years unless something changes.

I suggest they drop the program altogether and save everyone the grief of multiple losing seasons.

While I would love to see the program go away now...seeing it slowly die for the next 10 years or so while we beat up on them only to eventually drop it would be even more enjoyable.
