The bottom line
Ticket sale revenue for all sports in 2018 for MWC schools
SJS $775,280
USU $2,222,560
UNR $2,971,130
AFA $3,251,642
Wyo $4,645,671
UH $5,406,532
UNLV $5,556,541
UNM $5,941,716
CSU $5,791,080
FSU $6,204,440
BSU $6,591,176
SDS $9,149,380
How is USU going to catch up with at least the middle of the MWC without great increase's in sales numbers and price charged ? We have at most 16,000 football season tickets and 6,000 basketball tickets.
Ewe of Ewe $18, 000,000

Re: The bottom line
Cache valley obviously won’t support both teams. We should just drop football and focus on trying to make basketball a Gonzaga like program I guess.

The past two seasons we have a combined two losses to all of these teams, we do need to figure out how to get more people to buy tickets but success isn’t just purchased

You'll never get that kind of a basketball program in the WACRoy McAvoy wrote: ↑November 23rd, 2019, 4:15 pmCache valley obviously won’t support both teams. We should just drop football and focus on trying to make basketball a Gonzaga like program I guess.

Our numbers should be much better (higher) in 2019. Prices and attendance are up in both MBB and football. This is good for the program, the athletes served, and the Valley.

Re: The bottom line
For the simple reason they are in California. It’s more expensive because there is so much more money in that area it’s not even fair really to compare them to the Aggies. Never would we measure up to them or Fresno or UNLV.
Honest question- do we have the smallest market in the MW to work with? I can’t think of anyone else who would be smaller.

Re: The bottom line
We have a competent football program. We are going to our 8th bowl game in 9 years and won 11 games last year and was a ranked team. Zero reason to drop football. We are not New Mexico State. Basketball has ebbed and flowed too.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑November 23rd, 2019, 4:15 pmCache valley obviously won’t support both teams.
