Re: Biggest Concern
I think we'll see good progress with the O-line next yr lets not forget most of them are FR & SO. It will be a strong point of the team in the coming yrs. Now we Just need a stud RB to be able to run the style offense that we'd prefer.

Re: Biggest Concern
I was going to say the exact same thing in regards to the offensive line. I guess we are not seeing the value of veteran battle-tested offensive linemen such as the veteran group we had last year. The starting offensive line last night had 3 redshirt freshmen (South, Avendano and Karter Shaw), a sophomore (Edwards) and a junior (Ali'ifua). We get Andy Koch back, which will be huge. Pro Football Focus just rated Heneli Avendano as the second-best pass-blocking interior lineman in the country, so that is a great starting point for him. We are also redshirting 5 more offensive linemen. In fact, nearly all of our scholarship offensive linemen will be sophomores or redshirt freshmen next season. The current group we are trotting out there on Saturdays aren't bad, they just aren't ready to handle some of the talent that has been thrown at them, yet.JFW_AGGIES wrote: ↑November 24th, 2019, 8:48 amI think we'll see good progress with the O-line next yr lets not forget most of them are FR & SO. In regards to the running back position, look for us to not only add a high school RB BUT a grad transfer RB as well.

Re: Biggest Concern
We can add all the running backs we want, if we don’t commit to the run it won’t matter. Bright and Warren should be a solid combo.

Also we can score 40 points a game but not win much with that defense. The defense desperately needs help in a big way. Please tell me help is on the way at linebacker and defensive line. Both groups were dominated in the games we were demolished in and looked completely overmatched.

Re: Biggest Concern
I think its talent yes but its also lack of preparation and motivation. Wyoming's lines are both better than Boise's sans Weaver. Their RB is better. Their QB about the same. So what the hell.Chatman wrote: ↑November 24th, 2019, 2:20 pmAlso we can score 40 points a game but not win much with that defense. The defense desperately needs help in a big way. Re: Biggest Concern
I don't think their offensive creativity and schemes are better than Boise's, though.

Re: Biggest Concern
Oh, hell what is creative about an overload pull run or a third string QB sitting back in the pocket for 10 minutes before he scrambles for a first down. Or the worst, was Boise's 3rd down swing to the back which got a first down every time and we never (I can't express myself without swearing) even tried to assign.
Creative my (I can't express myself without swearing).

Re: Biggest Concern
Lol. You forgot about all the trick plays they pulled out in the first half? Selective memory is an interesting phenomenon.

Re: Biggest Concern
Give me a break. The trick plays were just Boise giving them a chance . The Donks cost themselves a couple drives dinking around and trying to pass. They were running it down the Aggies throats from start to finish. Trick plays or offensive creativity had nothing to do with it.

I was referring to line play and tackling. Its one thing to get tricked which they weren't. Getting your asses kicked physically against a war worse line than Wyoming is just inexcusable.

Re: Biggest Concern
So you’re going to tell me that Boise is not more creative offensively than Wyoming? Before yesterday, when was the last time you saw the statute of liberty play?
I’m not arguing we didn’t get out manned. I’m simply telling you what differentiates Wyo from BSU, offensively.

Re: Biggest Concern
Not really. Wyoming didn't run trick plays but I love Wyoming's offense. Both Boise and Wyoming had trash QBs so when they threw it they did the Aggie s a favor. The offense had nothing to do with the line getting their (I can't express myself without swearing) kicked against an inferior O-line. I would agree with you if Boise was beating us with deception. Nothing deceptive about what they did to the Aggies.BLUERUFiO wrote: ↑November 24th, 2019, 4:56 pmYou asked “what the hell” and I answered. Re: Biggest Concern
...did you not see the statute of liberty? After the first half, we mentally checked out even more.
Also, you already admitted earlier they ran trick plays? You said something about them running trick plays to give our guys a chance? (Which, wtf, do you really believe they’d run plays to give us a chance?)

Re: Biggest Concern
Boise didn't need creativity. They could have ran between the tackles all day. We could stop their most basic stuff.
They were creative because football should be fun.

Re: Biggest Concern
The only home game I really enjoyed this year was the Wyoming game. The rest had some nice plays but really weren’t that entraining for me. I want football to be fun again.

Re: Biggest Concern
Solid post Hick, solid as can be. Preparation, motivation and not to be out adjusted for the second half. Position and Coordinator Coaching intellect and insight are lacking. Players taking plays off is also another indictment of this staff.hickaggie wrote: ↑November 24th, 2019, 3:52 pmI think its talent yes but its also lack of preparation and motivation.
