It's hard to have faith that the program is going in the right direction when we lose, what I remember as, pretty good recruits for us.

Crap. That is a huge one. I think we are going to lose a boat load of transfers as well.

Yikes. Already low on scholarships and losing ones they had committed. Deeper issues in program?

The board that has done the most damage is the score board and lack anything substantive or a pulse from this staff.

Re: Another day another decommit
Kids do read the board. This is true. Let me say something that is very real and very true. Because of my effort to share information with you guys, I poorly worded one single sentence that nearly cost us a recruit. A recruit read my sentence here on this board, drew his own conclusion and immediately wanted to know what was up. Luckily my poor choice of words didn't cost us after all. The recruit was Nigel John.JFW_AGGIES wrote: ↑November 27th, 2019, 1:18 pmJoke all you want, but some of you need to face the facts that kids do read this board and what you say on here does impact recruits! say what you want but thems the facts!
In an effort not to be an a$$hole, I share what I can but I can't share everything. There are times when I have to use discretion about what I disclose and what I do not. If I can't be trusted, then my sources dry up REAL quick. I hope you guys, as my Aggie brothers, can understand where I'm coming from and believe me when I say I work for you!

This is 100% true. You can debate whether or not it should happen but that fact is that it does.JFW_AGGIES wrote:Joke all you want, but some of you need to face the facts that kids do read this board and what you say on here does impact recruits! say what you want but thems the facts!

The facts are these kids committed to a team and program that they thought was gonna win games and be competitive. Obviously that’s no longer the case.JFW_AGGIES wrote:Joke all you want, but some of you need to face the facts that kids do read this board and what you say on here does impact recruits! say what you want but thems the facts!

Really? 6 wins with a great possibility of 7 and 8 wins means as a program we lose recruits because we can't win? Last time I checked 7 or 8 wins is more than half the teams in the country have. No program in the country except for a very select few are going win 9 and 10 games year in and year out.BleedAggieBlue0 wrote: ↑November 27th, 2019, 2:28 pmThe facts are these kids committed to a team and program that they thought was gonna win games and be competitive. I think the disagreement is around your assertion that we are no longer a competitive/quality football program, not that the kids are thinking that.BleedAggieBlue0 wrote: ↑November 27th, 2019, 2:59 pmHey I’m not the players de-committing. Re: Another day another decommit
And sometimes 22 knows more than he would like to. I think you would be shocked by who many of my sources are. I've worked years to develop them and I will not give them up by sharing too much or by naming names. I've developed a reputation for keeping it real and not burning people. For those reasons, several of my sources chose to come to me unsolicited. For years, going back as far as the old Scout board, we as an Aggie fan collective, always talked about wishing how we had an "inside" source that to a degree was able to provide "information" that our local media was not able to procure. I've become that guy and I'm one of your own.JFW_AGGIES wrote: ↑November 27th, 2019, 1:12 pmI'm not trying to discount anyones info, but do you really think he knows? you all put to much trust in 1 source. Less competitive than we were when they committed. There’s no disputing that. They’re obviously de-committing because they think they can go somewhere better.Madmartigan wrote:I think the disagreement is around your assertion that we are no longer a competitive/quality football program, not that the kids are thinking that.BleedAggieBlue0 wrote: ↑November 27th, 2019, 2:59 pmHey I’m not the players de-committing. If you turn your nose up at a potential of 8 wins a year at a G5 school, you probably need to revisit your expectations.

Sorry. Can't go with your purely subjective conjecturing about what others may be thinking. This I propose is an issue you have and unfortunately you project your negativity on our current program. To join you, I would have to think the following, devoid of all objective reasoning:BleedAggieBlue0 wrote: ↑November 27th, 2019, 2:59 pmHey I’m not the players de-committing. -Utah State football has never lost a commit. Ever.
-Utah State football has never had a player transfer. Ever
-Utah State football regularly wins on the road against San Diego State and Fresno State.
-Woodward and Fua are easily replaced.
-A freshman dominant OLine is better than a senior dominant OLine
-Repp and Mariner combined are better than Tarver, Raymond, and Greene
-Losing to Wake Forest, LSU, and AF on the road is unaccaptable - for certain last year's team that lost on the road to Michigan State and struggled against Wyo and Colorado State on the road would've won all three.
-We have a legit opportunity to win 8 games. And if not 8 games, even 7 games will be more than we won in:
2017
2016
2015
In fact, 7 or 8 wins will be the second highest win total over the last 5 years. So a glass half full or half empty situation. You see the negative. I see the positive.
Yes y, af, and bsu losses sucked. I have no idea why we went to the 4 man front this year. Also can second guess the decision to stick with the prior year offense that obviously struggled on the road against wyo and csu.
But here we are with opp to get 8 wins. Get some perspective instead of relying on subjective guessing to confirm your negative bias. Tough spot for you.
