That Seahawks-49ers game was a heck of a game! That ending was unbelievable! Epic comeback and epic goal line collapse. Hopefully Turbin sees the field in the Wild Card game!

That was horrible, how can you not get a play called and then run that play all after you spike the ball???Aggie_CEE wrote:What a disaster of an ending for Seattle. 1st and goal from the 2 yard line and they get a delay of game...

Lineman was hurt. They tried to get him off without having to lose 10 seconds. Still dumb and they had time to do it. The non-PI call sucked... reviews all game except when it matters.blueblood wrote:That was horrible, how can you not get a play called and then run that play all after you spike the ball???Aggie_CEE wrote:What a disaster of an ending for Seattle. 1st and goal from the 2 yard line and they get a delay of game...

Re: Let's go Turbo!
The lineman made it back up for the spike, it took them like 8 seconds to spike it because they had to wait for Fant to run up to the line. The delay of game was on 2nd down, after the spike. That’s horrible.sneed wrote:Lineman was hurt. They tried to get him off without having to lose 10 seconds. Still dumb and they had time to do it. Re: Let's go Turbo!
I've been a Seahawks fan since early 1980s and have little sympathy for them right now. They lost 3 of their last 4 games with losses to the Rams and the Cards.
Furthermore, I'd be shocked if the Seahawks manage to win a Superbowl with how much Russell Wilson is paid. Russell Wilson's current cap hit is nearly 14% of the team's overall cap. That's too much. Since the salary cap era, only five QBs have won the Superbowl with a salary more than 12% of the cap. Wilson won't be added to that list.
This is something Tom Brady understands. He had a salary more than 12% for a few years and couldn't win a Superbowl. He restructured several years ago and since then has kept his cap-hit lower than 12% and, sure enough, started to win Superbowls again.
I went into this salary-cap NFL economics thing about six years ago on here. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=31451&p=311871#p289605
