Nevada Bowl Game

Post by Aggie84025 » January 3rd, 2020, 3:54 pm

Nevada is not looking good at all. They are getting taken to the wood shed 30-9 against Ohio.

TBH, Nevada may be the worst 7-5 team in the country.

Or one could look up and down the Wasatch Front for additional candidates.

Spoke to soon. Nevada scored a touchdown....sacked the qb and forced a fumble...and just scored again. Down 21-30! They went for 2 and missed it.

Things change so quick. I probably would not go for 2 in that situation, but there still is time left for 2 possessions.

Nevada was on the 2 yard line about to cut it to a 2 pt game and ran a reverse trick play and fumbled!!! Ohio now has the ball with just over 3 minutes....UGGGHH dumb call

I have been amazed that Nevada managed to become bowl eligible. They have really been one of the worst teams in the conference this year. Really wish SJSU would have pulled off the wins against UNLV and Nevada to be bowl eligible this year, instead. They were so very close.

In all fairness, we did beat Nevada to prove we aren't as bad as them. And as bad as it was for BYU to lose to Hawaii the way they did, losing at home to them 54-3 isn't nearly as bad. And BYU showed they weren't as bad as us.

Comparing San Diego State scores does make us and Nevada better than BYU, but that is flawed as comparing San Diego State scores in the past has proven Eastern Illinois to be better than Boise State and TWICE made the South Alabama Jaguars champions of the Mountain West Conference.
