Caputo on the move?

Post by BustaMcNutt » March 4th, 2020, 10:01 pm

Looks like we'll need a TE coach with Caputo heading back to coach with Dave Aranda at Baylor. Does DJ Tialavea move into a full-time role?

Doubtful. They'll bring someone in that has a little more experience.

I would have thought one of the main reasons DJ was hired, was to help Caputo with TEs. I don't think Caputo had a ton of experience on the offensive side of the ball.

Seems that Coach Caputo was the Safeties coach last season, and before that he was a G A at LSU. He has some NFL experience and it's hard to judge his capacities at this point in his career. Wish him well as he continues his coaching career.

Did we even have tight ends last year let alone a coach for them? I just don't remember using them much. (This post was sarcastic for everyone with broken sarcasm meters.)

Although I don't think it was the Tight End Coaches (Frank Maile) fault, I do agree that the TE was very underutilized in 2019.
