Bad look for Colorado State...

Post by AggiePT » August 4th, 2020, 11:21 pm

Well, this won’t help our chances of seeing a season this year. :bangwall:

Except several players have already spoken out and called this story complete B.S.

This story is either true or false.

Either a coach or a reporter just ended their career. Only one can come out of this alive.

May the odds be forever in your favor.

We should all get comfortable with the idea that there is not going to be a football season......

Hiring the dude as their coach was the first bad look. Every look from here until they fire "the dude" will be a bad one.
Whoever the AD is at Colorado State, needs to get (I can't express myself without swearing) canned so fast it isn't even funny.
With that said, I'm happy if they retain him/her for as long as possible.

I find it hard to believe, but I will reserve my judgement until further reports come out With the political environment we are in and the constant scrutiny people are under I find it hard to believe that the coaches would do this. That being said when the paper reports they have 10 sources to back this up it makes it hard not to believe. Now there are players coming to the coaches defense. It is just hard to distinguish which side is true.

I would sure hope that coaches would never ask their players to hide symptoms as you are just asking yourself to come under the microscope.

At least 5 players are publicly saying it's complete B.S.

In the current atmosphere, it almost doesn't matter if it's true or not. Which is horrifying, really. It now appears that all CSU football related activities are suspended until further notice. I suspect that CSU will not have a football season.

In the short term, this is terrible news for USU. We lose one of our MWC games, shortening an already abbreviated schedule.

In the long term, this is a mixed bag. Unfortunately, it weakens the conference as a whole, which is bad. On the other hand, CSU, on paper, should have been one of the more attractive targets for expansion of either the PAC-12 or the Big-12. It's a shame, but they have inexplicably under performed historically. They have every advantage over us. Bigger school. More money. Bigger metropolitan area. If P5 conference expansion west of the Mississippi was ever going to happen, they would have been one of the most attractive candidates. On paper. In reality, they have become a dumpster fire. Nice to have a potential competitor shoot themselves in the foot.

Is this (https://www.espn.com/college-football/s ... llegations) all part of the same complaints noted in the OP, or is this adding insult to injury? In my reading, it's the latter Image?

If these allegations are true, it will be the end of more than just football at CSU this season. And this should be pretty easy to investigate and get to the truth of the matters.

I like in the ESPN article that the fired underling is now complaining about the fired head coach but didn't say anything while he still had a job with said fired head coach.
