Andrew Peasley, the 4th year freshman
I find this pretty funny. Eligibility wise, Andrew Peasley will be a freshman next season, even though it’s his 4th year at USU.
Year 1: Redshirt
Year 2: Torn ACL, medical redshirt
Year 3: This season doesn’t count because of Covid
Year 4: Redshirt Freshman

On track to get two master's degree in accounting and business administration.
Alrighty.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Re: Andrew Peasley, the 4th year freshman
Is it confirmed that he is currently a freshman? The official roster shows him as a Sophomore.

Ah, dang. I distinctly remember an interview last year where Gary said he got the medical redshirt and would be a freshman again this year.LarryTheAggie wrote: ↑November 27th, 2020, 8:38 amIs it confirmed that he is currently a freshman? The official roster shows him as a Sophomore.

Is the medical redshirt added immediately -or at the end of the eligibility?Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑November 27th, 2020, 9:14 amAh, dang. Medical redshirt is added at the end usually.

That said, his case is about as open and shut as you can get and I expect it to be granted. You never know with the NCAA though. I can see them forgetting all the benevolence they've shown to athletes about covid a couple of years from know and using that extra year as an excuse not to grant the medical RS.

Re: Andrew Peasley, the 4th year freshman
This is a good point. And, depending on what they do with the 85 limit, I could see schools being less inclined to ask for one down the road though to stay under the limit while continuing to bring in full classes. Of course, if Peasley is a good QB and would use that year that is an obvious exception.GeoAg wrote: ↑November 27th, 2020, 10:56 amThat said, his case is about as open and shut as you can get and I expect it to be granted.
