My understanding is that he really wants a full separation from current staff, just due to all of the issues. He wants a clean break so he can better create the culture in the program that he wants. I'd be surprised if any of the previous staff was asked to stay.

I would think that, coming from the south, Anderson is going to be able to bring in a really good OL coach.

I think that’s the wisest thing to do.newhouse9 wrote: ↑December 17th, 2020, 8:45 amMy understanding is that he really wants a full separation from current staff, just due to all of the issues. As he should. The previous staff didn't get the job done. It would be a bad decision to keep them.newhouse9 wrote: ↑December 17th, 2020, 8:45 amMy understanding is that he really wants a full separation from current staff, just due to all of the issues. There are rumors of Bojay and/or Collins staying. Has that changed?

No clue. But I'd be surprised if they were asked to stay.

Woods was an Andersen guy, Collins really isn't so I see that as a difference. Bojay was brought back by Andersen but has quite a bit of other experience as well.
Hail the Utah Aggies!

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Re: Does the OL coach Woods have a shot at being retained?
Meaning no spite, but why would we want any former coaches to stay?
Do we feel like any "position coach" coached their positions to the level that we wanted as a fan base? Is there a group of position players that we can look at and say they were better than everyone else in the conference? Did the position coaches produce great players, or did they just use good players?
Which one is it, did we have great talent that was under coached or did we have terrible talent that was coached to mediocrity? Both are possible. You can have the best coach in the world, but if the talent (and buy in) isn't there then competing is going to be hard, just as having great talent but terrible coaches will not produce a consistent winning product.
Again, no spite meant with these questions, just curious what the general feel is.
