Everyone needs to tamp down their expectations. With all things considered I would consider 4 or 5 wins this year a successful season. It will take a few years to get back to winning records.
Yeah if we make a bowl next year, awesome! That shouldn't be the expectation in year 1 of a new coach after the dumpster fire of last year.

New Mexico is a toss up. They are building a good program down there and have some good transfers this year.

All we need to do is play Peasley. They can't keep up with him.

Feels like this is always the story for New Mexico..... basketball and football.

The question I waffle back & forth between is, who is going to have the better season next year, the football or basketball team?

Right now I'm leading towards predicting USU football has a better season than USU basketball next year.

We will know in a few weeks. If we get Eytle-Rock and a few other good transfers, I'll go with hoops. If we strike out in the portal, probably football.

I get it, and what you are saying makes sense. However, watching this teams energy and speed, well it just feels like this is a bowl team. Lots of players making plays. Every practice I’ve been to I get that distinct winning team vibe. This is going to be a memorable team.
