SJSU predictions thread
Here is my 100% statistics based prediction:
Score: USU 26 - SJSU 19
Rushing: USU 184 - SJSU 124
Passing: USU 201 - SJSU 219
Total yds: USU 385 - SJSU 343
I used the stats that I posted in another thread to get this. First I took USU's average PF (or rushing, or passing, etc) and then added the number of points SJSU allows over what their opponents average. Then I took SJSU's PA and subtracted the number of points we tend to fall short of what our opponents usually allow. Then I averaged these two numbers. I did the same for SJSU and then all the team yardage stats.
Score: USU 26 - SJSU 19
Rushing: USU 184 - SJSU 124
Passing: USU 201 - SJSU 219
Total yds: USU 385 - SJSU 343

Our ability to win on the road scares me to no end. I wonder if we could put together 4 quarters vs Idaho State! With that said I bet we win... but not by much, not with our playcalling.

If my predictions had panned out USU would be undefeated right now. So statistically speaking, my predictions are very good.

The Ags will win by 18 in the best game we have played in a while.
USU 42- Saint Joe State 24. And it could even be better than that.
We will have at least 425 in offense (310 passing, 115 rushing), and hold San Josed to under 325 total yds (180 passing, 145 rushing).
We will have 26 first downs
two interceptions
and go 100% in the Red Zone.
I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN!

My prediction..
USU 19 to 17 Over the Spartans
Game tied at 17 with 8 seconds left and the spartans get sacked for a safety for the loss as the clock runs out..

Just following up on my prediction to see how I did (actual results in red, percentage off in green):

Rushing: USU 184 261 42% - SJSU 124 118 -5%
Passing: USU 201 259 29% - SJSU 219 331 51%
Total yds: USU 385 520 35% - SJSU 343 449 31%
Samsonite? I was way off! Looks like our offense over-performed and our defense under performed. I hate how that has been the case the past three games or so, when it was the other way around earlier. I really hope we can get both squads to show up for the Idaho game.
