What now for the MWC

Post by GeorgiaAggie » September 10th, 2021, 8:53 am

Now that the Big 12 invites are official and the AAC lost three of their best teams, what is the MWC's next move. The statement put out by the conference yesterday was cryptic at best and doesn't provide anything. You know that the AAC won't just sit back and do nothing, they are down to eight teams. I don't see them coming after MWC teams because that is a lateral move at best, and more likely a backwards move for most MW teams. Do they go after Sunbelt teams? CUSA teams? Top tier FCS teams? I just don't see the domino effect hitting the MW. I could obviously be wrong but I just don't see it. I think when it all shakes out, we'll pretty much stay the same which is fine with me. Am I being too naive about this?
