Deven Thompkins

Post by ThunderAggie » September 18th, 2021, 10:07 pm

Vs Wazzu
8 rec, 94 yds, 1 td

Vs ND
8 rec, 172 yds, 1 td

Vs AF
9 rec, 188 yds, 1 td

Totals
25 rec, 454 yds, 3 tds

Thompkins is a beast! Coming into this week he was 7th in the nation in receiving yards. They haven’t updated this weeks yet, but he is most likely top 5, possibly even top 3 after this week! Bowling has also been a stud and McGriff and Wright have had great catches. One of our most talented receiving cores in a while.

He’s mediocre. I’ve seen receivers in Madden rack up twice the yardage in half the games.

Even though not updated, I just looked at every player above him and he had way more yards this week than all the guys above him. He also had more than the guys under him that I checked. So unless someone way below him had 200-250+ yards this week he is now 1st in the country in receiving yards!

He has been a joy to watch. He has very good hands, he made the right choice to come back and not transfer.

I'm honestly not trying to be a douche, I just was curious about the root of the word and why it is spelled the way it is. I had a minute to look it up and thought others might be interested as well due the regular use of the word in the above context.

To your point, it has been awesome to watch them. Finally, we have awesome receivers and a legit O coordinator that knows how to utilize them. Also, that shuffle pass to Terrell was amazing.

I wonder if he’s watched any Florida State games this season and realized how much of a bullet he dodged. They might be one of the worst teams in the country.

It's highly likely the word corps was attempted but a dumb smart phone thought it knew better.

#13 is a major problem for any defense this year. He’s just too fast and too quick. He looks like a NFL player out there.

This offense is a joy to watch. I’m so grateful we have BA at the helm. He’s got a great mind for offense and the budget to round out his assistant pool. Great time to be an Aggie!

Thompkins is now #1 in the nation in receiving yards by a sizeable 55 yard margin.

Plus Calvin Tyler Jr. is #29 in rushing with 288 yards and a 6.1 ypc average. This offense is awesome!!

FSU is a dumpster fire and may not recover from their loss to Jacksonville State. Such a shame after they played Notre Dame heads up for 60+ minutes the week before.

I expect Norville to be canned quickly.

DT hopefully is breathing a huge sigh of relief.

It's crazy to think that talented players like DHC, Noa, Van Leween, Scarver, Vaughns and others don't see the field much because of how great the guys ahead of them are playing!

I'm not placing blame my Aggie brother. I'm just reminding some of our fellow board members where we COULD have ended up.
