2022 NFL Draft

Post by OrangeCountyAggie » September 19th, 2021, 5:54 pm

Justin Rice and DT are playing their way into 2nd or 3rd round draft grades. I always thought Shaq Bond was draftable and am hoping he rebounds from his injury. Scarver has a chance as a late-round selection if he breaks the all-time record this year and can show up on offense once in a while.

Does anyone else have a shot this year or in the near future?

Yep. You don't burn a draft pick on a special teams player who might only touch the ball two or three times a game. Scarver hasn't shown anything as a WR either.

No chance. He is zero threat as a receiver.

The other thing with Scarver that gets overlooked. He has returned several kickoffs for TDs but how much is it Scarvers ability and how much is it the other 10 guys on special teams giving him an open lane? I would think that 80% or more of the credit goes to the other 10 guys to give him a hole to run through. Yes, Scarver hits the hole and has the speed to make it through but after watching a few returns this year I'm thinking Scarver isn't anything special but was the benefit of the rest of his team (or poor execution by kicking team). No way am I wasting a draft pick on that.
