Aggies +10
Aggies are 10 point underdog's. Seems about right. Go take care of business Aggies and beat them

In theory yes, but their biggest margin of victory has been 10 points. I'm confident we are a better team than South Florida and byu only beat them by 8. The line is probably about right. I don't see us getting blown out unless we kill ourselves like we did yesterday.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑September 26th, 2021, 8:52 pmThat’s surprising considering they are ranked what, 13?

I agree, just seems like most people just looking at this game in Vegas would pick BYU by at least a couple of TDs.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑September 26th, 2021, 9:27 pmIn theory yes, but their biggest margin of victory has been 10 points. I would have guessed that line would be more in the 17 -18 point range.

I hope y'all are right, I suspect a replay of the BSU game. If not I'll be pleasantly surprised. I think we are more than capable, I just don't think we pull it together this game. I think it's a more of an "us" not "them"problem
Go Aggies!

Re: Aggies +10
I almost wish this game were at Provo because we seem to get a bit over hyped and put too much pressure on ourselves at home. I don't think we could possibly screw up more than we did against the Donks and will be cleaner this Friday, but I still expect we'll be over hyped again and make some bone headed mistakes and end up losing by a couple scores. Hope I'm wrong and we can play focused and hard and force BYU into silly mistakes. It is the first time all season that BYU will be in a hostile environment though, so who knows how they will respond.

Re: Aggies +10
The 10 point spread is reflective of the paper tiger I believe the Zoobs are. The Aggies won't cover or win with 15 penalties, 3 TOs, and 2 unsuccessful short yardage field goal tries. They won't win with 3 points on 5 red zone drives, but if they play semi-competent ball they will cover and with the kind of play they are capable of will win.

Re: Aggies +10
Yep, byu is 4-0, but hasn't blown anybody out. They might win, but this shouldn't be a blowout. It is up to us. The team just cannot make as many stupid mistakes as they did on Saturday. If we have that many stupid turnovers, that many special team errors and lose the turnover battle, ok we will be having a conversation next week about how the spread should have been bigger.hickaggie wrote: ↑September 27th, 2021, 10:06 amThe 10 point spread is reflective of the paper tiger I believe the Zoobs are. Re: Aggies +10
It's -7.5 now at most books.
Who would you say is the better team between Boise and BYU?
I'd say BYU based on resume and play to date (but maybe AZ, ASU and Utah aren't very good). Anyways, what's interesting is that Boise opened -10 against USU and the line only dropped to about 8.5 or 9.
BYU opened 10 and it's already 7.5. The betters seem to think Boise is a better team than BYU. Interesting stuff.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I feel like I've been posting in a vacuum about this. Boise State is the best team we'll face all year unless we have a post season game.

Re: Aggies +10
Who cares if we cover the only thing that matters is if we win or lose. There is no moral victory in covering the spread. I want to beat these guys worse then Boise. This game turns me into a bad person because I hate that team down south so much. Go Aggies kill those damn kitties

BYU: Arizona (O wins) Utah (1 FBS win against Washington State) Arizona State (1 FBS win over Colorado) USF (0 FBS wins)
Boise: Lost to UCF (2-1 Win over Boise) UTEP (2 FBS wins over NMSU and New Mexico) Lost to Oklahoma State (4-0 wins over EMAW and Tulsa).
I honestly would have a game between them as a pickem before considering injuries/home field advantage etc.

Thanks, I sort of overlooked that win. UTEP deserves some recognition as a surprise team that might make a bowl game and is currently 3-1.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑September 27th, 2021, 8:33 pmArizona State also beat UNLVFull wrote: ↑September 27th, 2021, 8:03 pmI looked over both their schedules.Aggie702 wrote: ↑September 27th, 2021, 5:32 pmIt's -7.5 now at most books.

Re: Aggies +10
BYU fan here. I think this game will be close. Real close. But recent history also shows this game can easily go either way, with USU or BYU winning big.
First things first. I completely view this game as a rivalry. 100%. The past decade proves it is a tightly contested in-state matchup between schools that are 2-hours apart. If players or fans on either side don’t view it as a rivalry, I think they’re making a mistake.
Consider the following...
- BYU is 6-4 over the past decade, and extremely close to being 4-6.
- 1 of BYU’s 6 wins was on a ‘flukish’ final play of the game, at home, where the ball bounced off a players hands and directly into the hands of Marcus Matthews.
-1 of BYU’s 6 wins was an ugly 6-3 victory at home.
- Average points scored over the 10 games has been BYU 27.5 - USU 24.4.
- Total points for BYU is 275; total points for USU is 244
- 3 of BYU’s losses have been blowouts: 20-35, 24-40, 20-45. Those are bigger blowouts than BYU's losses against Utah in that same span.
- USU’s average margin of victory in their 4 wins is 15.25.
- BYU’s average margin of victory in their 6 wins is 15.33.
Over the past decade, this matchup is intense and always unpredictable. I honestly have no idea what to expect on Friday but I suspect USU will come ready to play.

Honest Question. Why are you a BYU fan in Logan? Attended BYU, family BYU ties, LDS and follow BYU. Lots of question why local football fans don’t cheer for the school they live close to.

Fair question. I'm originally from out of state. My whole family was raised BYU fans growing up. My parents and siblings went to BYU and growing up we'd drive to Provo almost every year to attend a BYU game. I also attended BYU myself. My wife attended Utah State though and we live in Logan now.

I'm a little disappointed in her to be honest, she should have pulled the wife card and told him straight out "we are an Aggie family now!" or made a better choice than a cougar. I'm sure she's nice, but her decision making.... yikesaggiesdidwhat wrote: ↑September 29th, 2021, 1:05 pmYour wife seems pretty awesome ;-)LoganCougar wrote: ↑September 29th, 2021, 11:51 amFair question.
