New Mexico State Game - FloSports
From the press release it looks like the game @ New Mexico State will be on FloSports. I thought this might save some time for anyone interested. FloSports is the only way to get the game, although I’ve heard there might be another way. I signed up for $19.99 a month, and canceled the monthly subscription right after signing up. It allows you to access the content for a month, so if you sign up on the 14th, access would end on the 14th even when you cancel the same day. So, subscribing today will get you through the game and the next weekend if your interest in watching UMass and the Raggies.

Well we have two options, never play them home and home or invite them to the conference.

Unfortunately New Mexico State doesn't have any TV deals for football so this is as good as it gets traveling down there.ineptimusprime wrote:Yuck. Not even FS2?

Re: New Mexico State Game - FloSports
I remember the old days when it was smoke signals to get the score updates. I see New Mexico State is still there in terms of technology advances. I hear they may upgrade to high speed telegraph in 10 years.
I am grateful we didn't get caught wandering like they did.
I'll be happy to listen to our radio broadcast or join the so good you're there experience in chat if it's available.

Well I already have flo, so I'm not too sad about it. P.s if you love dirt track racing, flo is the place to be for that. Plus there is a ridiculous amount of other sports on there as well.

Doesn't NMSU still use AggieVision for all their games? It was a non-hd broadcast, but not bad at all. And it was free.

AggieVision is still a thing (should have been named BlurredVision). It even says they are broadcasting the USU football game on their website.

Re: New Mexico State Game - FloSports
I checked out the route on Google Maps, not really thinking that I could actually do this game, but at least curious if it would even be a remote possibility. The one way trip from my house to Aggie Memorial Stadium is 850 miles. For a 1700 mile round trip in my car, which gets about 35 mpg, that's 48.5 gallons. If you assume $3.45 a gallon, which is roughly between the Utah and New Mexico average, that round trip would cost $168 on fuel alone. Add in probably a couple of nights in a hotel room and you likely double that, plus all the eating on the road and other incidentals and gameday stuff, likely getting to $400+. That's a tough cookie to sell to the wife for a single game in Las Cruces, not that I'd even have time to make that trip, anyway.

I think the math points to buying flo tv for 20 bucks.BigBlueDart wrote: ↑October 15th, 2021, 9:24 amI checked out the route on Google Maps, not really thinking that I could actually do this game, but at least curious if it would even be a remote possibility. Nice! I have family in Las Cruces, thats partly why we are going!
Re: New Mexico State Game - FloSports
Unless I'm missing something it looks like the AggieVision page doesn't have the actual broadcasts and directs you to the site where it indicates that FloSports is covering the broadcast. I haven't been able to find any free TV broadcast options at this point and might be limited to radio coverage. We don't run into that often given the number of options available these days but unless someone were to host a community watch party most of us are out of luck.Aglicious wrote:AggieVision is still a thing (should have been named BlurredVision). Re: New Mexico State Game - FloSports
It also says on the AggieVision.tv upcoming events that they will televise the USU game. After a second look, apparently AggieVision will be televising it through FloFootball. $20/mo.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑November 1st, 2021, 2:31 pmThat link says Audio OnlyAglicious wrote: ↑November 1st, 2021, 1:56 pmI think it will be here: https://nmstatesports.com/watch/?Live=5048&type=LiveBigd23 wrote: ↑November 1st, 2021, 1:15 pmUnless I'm missing something it looks like the AggieVision page doesn't have the actual broadcasts and directs you to the site where it indicates that FloSports is covering the broadcast. Or for the same price you could go to Walmart, Best Buy, Target, or anything similar and buy a Roku.Sl7vk wrote:I think the math points to buying flo tv for 20 bucks.BigBlueDart wrote: ↑October 15th, 2021, 9:24 amI checked out the route on Google Maps, not really thinking that I could actually do this game, but at least curious if it would even be a remote possibility. If you have an hdmi port on your TV you'll just need to plug it in there. Walk through the on-screen setup & add flosports.

Re: New Mexico State Game - FloSports
I have hdmi ports on my computer monitor (TV pre hdmi era!). Could one connect a Roku stick to the monitor HDMI port and receive the TV image ( I don't have monitor speakers so audio would have to come from another source)? If yes do you know what the steps would be to get the video broadcast?usufan1 wrote: ↑November 6th, 2021, 9:24 amOr for the same price you could go to Walmart, Best Buy, Target, or anything similar and buy a Roku.Sl7vk wrote:I think the math points to buying flo tv for 20 bucks.BigBlueDart wrote: ↑October 15th, 2021, 9:24 amI checked out the route on Google Maps, not really thinking that I could actually do this game, but at least curious if it would even be a remote possibility. Sorry this is late, but yes you can plug a Roku into a monitor with an hdmi port. Does the monitor have a headphone jack? You could listen that way if it does.tinplater wrote:I have hdmi ports on my computer monitor (TV pre hdmi era!). Re: New Mexico State Game - FloSports
Downloaded the App. It went to my Roku, just as suggested above. Paying $29.99 for it. I am actually kind of interested in the month of access. Some FCS games (Weber State on it next week), some East Coast Hockey League (watched the Salt Lake Grizzlies last evening). So, it offers some viewing for those audiences…
But…
From watching the game and seeing that EMPTY stadium in Las Cruces….tch, tch, tch … I really feel bad; just desolation for that school, team and fan base. What does C-USA see to invite them to their conference? That really looked (and sounded) bad…
