Hypothetical transitives in CFB

Post by NowhereLandAggie » December 19th, 2021, 9:05 am

USU>Oregon State>Utah>Oregon>Ohio State>Michigan State>Michigan who is playing in the CFB playoff.

USU>WSU>ASU>UCLA>LSU>Texas A&M>Alabama>Georgia

By association USU is greater than every team besides undefeated Cincinnati in the CFB playoff. Should Cincinnati lose a game, USU's transitive victories would give them wins over everyone in the top 4.

Going further USU <Wyoming<UNM. So the bottom dwellng MW team could suit up against Alabama or Georgia under the hypothetical tranisitive theory. (Which is entirely flawed and discredited, but interesting to examine.)
