Tomorrow...

Post by VegasBornAggie » September 28th, 2022, 11:40 am

Heading down to the game tomorrow. Would like to see some fellow Aggies there as BYU fans can be well to put it nicely annoying. So where is everyone sitting if you're going to the game. I will be in section 124. I saw somewhere the Hurd will also be in that section too!

I was going to get tickets, but the way the team has played I decided not to go. I realize that probably sounds childish and it truly is, but I can't stand to think about losing by 20-30 points while amongst BYU fans.

Man, I really hope we can pull off the miracle and bring the wagon wheel back home for good. It's a really bad year to end this rivalry, let alone on the road.

I'll be there with my brother who's a BYU grad. He surprised me with the ticket about a week before this season started as a kind gesture. There's no way way anyone could've convinced me then we would be 1-3 heading into this game considering how soft our schedule was to start (Alabama exception of course), but here we are.

I'll miss this rivalry, and it's sad it has to end with a hobbled QB throwing 6-7 picks. But it is what it is I guess. Hopefully we'll get it back on the schedule someday in the far future.

Probably more true than I’d have initially thought. if they don’t play us anymore and esp. if they take the wheel then it becomes just a wheel with no meaning.

For example let’s pretend that we had a trophy from our rivalry with Idaho a yoke. If Idaho won the last meeting it’d mean something. If we won it’d just be a stupid yoke that we’d have to deal with.

Last time I sat in the ybu section I damnear killed a guy, in fact it was one of the only times I ever almost guy into a fight at a college FB game (well, there was that time back in the 90's when WyoAg called me a cheesedick in an earlier forum and wanted to meet at a game, but that's for another day). I was with some why fans, a co-worker and his (at the time) two young boys, this older guy kept cussing (this was the 1997 game we got robbed in) and I told the guy to quit cussing in front of my co-workers kids, needless to say I ultimately ended up reaching out to grab the guy's neck before his wife manned up and stepped in and told him to chill before that "big tall Aggie dude put's the beat down on you." Good times.

After last year's game I looked up Utah's mutual combat laws. Unfortunately mutual combat isn't cool in Utah.

I think this a real position to run on, establishing some mutual combat laws for the state.

We have the beehive boot in our hall of fame museum in the NEZ. Despite the fact that we lost the last meeting with Utah at their house.

Far away ... unfortunately parking at the 'Great and Spacious Building' is a mess ... DO NOT give those people your money either ... you just have to park a good distance from the stadium and walk ...

Oh and the "fans" are super annoying, the food is terrible, and the millions of dollars of Screens / Speakers are way too bright / loud ... good luck friend!

BYU has a lot of parking. I’ve parked at the parking for Rock Canyon Elementary and Centennial Middle School in the past. It’s just over a half mile from the stadium.

I once believed there is no wrong way to eat a donut. Then I saw how people eat their really long donuts.

There is absolutely a wrong way to eat that donut and so many of them do it.

They will use this beat down as rationale for not renewing the series. They will have moved onto real football while we've regressed to our 6A version.

I'd allow you to park at our family apartment complex but alas my ybu-loving brother in law and his kids manages the place and they'd never put up with some Aggies taking up space in their parking lot LOL

Back in the day there was an medical center across the street from the stadium you could park and tg in w/o ever getting harassed, but I think they tore it down and it's now a Walgreens. I think they have paid parking at the intermural fields across the street as well. Regardless it's going to be a mad house. Enjoy!

I'll be in Section 21 Row 4 amongst the safety and security of fellow Aggie fans. The only other time I attended a game down there was in 2014 when I sat is Section 21 and loved every minute of it. That would have likely been an okay year to be amongst their fans given the game result, but being in the Aggie visitors section is my preferred spot.

The last time I was in Cougar Stadium was 2006, I believe. Among the Aggie faithful sitting near Kerry Shepherd's parents. He was a DE on the team back then, and a friend from church/school for me. I still remember seeing him headed to the locker room at halftime with a cut on his nose. Was kind of indicative of how that game went.

Last and maybe only time I attended a game in Provo I was on the front row of the aggie student section in the north west corner. What a night.
