Virtual Aggie Auction

Post by GeoAg » October 5th, 2022, 9:48 am

Lots of cool stuff to be had here at all ranges of prices for a great cause...our Ags...https://e.givesmart.com/events/rXs/i/_All/#itemj7ii

Really thinking about that replica championship ring.

The most intriguing item to me is the private fossil dig.

I'm not sure how I feel about auctioning a dog.

I think it's crazy that one of our own donated a Merlin Olsen rookie card.

I think it's pretty common. My wife teaches at a private school and they do an auction every year and there is always a puppy for adoption.

I just hope the breeder has the right to refuse if the highest bidder doesn't meet the standard. If not, I would recommend no one use that breeder.

Given that the breeder specializes and seems to be reputable at first glance, I suspect they do have that right (and would generally be a non-issue... most people aren't bad homes). But reputable breeders would take placement of their animals very seriously and it should be a deal breaker if they don't.

I prefer the idea of rescuing a dog, either a puppy or an adult. Not hacking on the puppy idea, but rescuing a hound from homelessness is always commendable. Adopting a dog into a family is a noble gesture.

Shall I bid on the Travel with the Team to Iowa - so I can drive to Cedar Rapids on Thursday evening to fly from CID to SLC to drive to Logan to fly back to CID to ride to IC with the team and stand on the sidelines for the game then fly from CID to Logan to drive to SLC to fly back to CID and drive back home on Sunday night?

Why don't they have pregame or all-game sideline passes for that game?

Email Hunter Jensen and tell him you're interested. I believe they are going to add more items this weekend.

Winding down - many items not bid on. If I lived in Logan or even north of Provo I’d get that turf but it’s pick up Only.

In case anyone is wondering. Seems like a disappointment.

Every year the capitals do a clearance sale of jerseys, sticks, skates, etc. a great way to get pro stuff if you play and memorabilia if you’re just a fan.

Maybe that will be a good choice.

Thought it was pretty good. I would like to see more unique memorabilia. Thought the custom turf shadow box, and internet connected aggie A were pretty sweet. What was better in the spring one?

I felt there was a better selection of gear during the spring auction.

When I was a student there the hockey team would sell the extra jerseys to help cover their expenses. I picked up a jersey, at the time they had the Mr. Clean Big Blue logo on the front. That was also back when there wasn't an ice rink in Logan so the team played and practiced in Ogden.
