Re: Great Win
When Fresno went up 10 points I said Game Over in chat and I believed it. It's been a long time since we've seen the team show that much grit to end a game. Hopefully this can build some confidence. That was a fun one to watch.

Re: Great Win
Such a different feeling than I was expecting when down 10. I don't know that they did anything particularly great, but man was that a good last four minutes and OT. a 22-7 run before the final heave.

Re: Great Win
The injuries are getting ridiculous.
Great comeback win tonight. I thought it was all over - dead and buried. More than anything I’m just happy for the kids. Nice for them to earn a victory that way.

Re: Great Win
Agreed. Great to see them come back and take the win. It was completely unexpected for me.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2018, 9:26 pmWhen Fresno went up 10 points I said Game Over in chat and I believed it. Re: Great Win
Gave up 50+% from the field and 50% from the 3-pt line. And won!!!!!
3-point shooting and FT shooting carried the day. (though the rebounding helped.)

Re: Great Win
Very gritty win. Glad to see Koby playing well again.
Would Koby have gone to the line had they not called the travel on Brown? Neither of those calls ever get made.

Koby played great. We need that from him. I hope this is the beginning of some real change.

Re: Great Win
To be honest, I had the game on and just wasn't losing to close attention to it. When we was down 10 I decided to turn it over. Then I couldnt find my remote. By the time I found it, and the feed unfroze, we was only down 3. I'm tickled pink we get that win. Overtime reminded me of days of old when I was so invested in every play.

Re: Great Win
Those last 5 minutes of regulation and then OT were as fun as I've had at an Aggie basketball for years!
Too bad our next 4 is @UNLV (12-3) CSU (8-8 but always tough) @Nevada (14-3) and @Boise (13-2). Going to be tough to gain any momentum out of that stretch.

UNLV had to go to overtime to win at San Jose last night. They're not invulnerable.CanuckAggie wrote: ↑January 4th, 2018, 12:53 amThose last 5 minutes of regulation and then OT were as fun as I've had at an Aggie basketball for years!

Re: Great Win
I would be happy with just winning two of those games given how this season has gone. 3 wins in the next 4 sounds get me, and probably quite a few fans, back to being more invested in my fandom. 4 wins, although highly unlikely, would get me to be a TD fan haha.CanuckAggie wrote:Those last 5 minutes of regulation and then OT were as fun as I've had at an Aggie basketball for years!

Winning two of those games will be an over achievement for this team. Three I would be ecstatic.bigblue wrote: ↑January 4th, 2018, 9:09 amI would be happy with just winning two of those games given how this season has gone.

Re: Great Win
Knowing our luck in bball in past year since the mountain west, I can't believe that Fresno guy at the end didn't bank it off the backboard with an and 1 for the win. Not the one at the buzzer, before that.

Great Win
Although the Spectrum was only half full, it was like the old Spectrum again for those last 4 minutes of regulation and OT. Great job by the students to get the crowd into it after Brown hit the three to put us within 7. The crowd had an affect on Fresno’s play those last minutes - it was probably the most fun I’ve had in the Spectrum in two years

Re: Great Win
The big bald guy on the front row said something funny that the whole stadium could hear. I told my wife “he’s sat there since I was a student (early 00’s). The guy in front of me said “hell he was there when I was in school in the 70’s.”

He yelled to the Fresno coach something like: "Coach! These refs work hard! Don't hassle them!".

Re: Great Win
I enjoyed watching that game on my phone while I was supposed to be co scout leading scouts. Not that I love our style of play or lack of discipline but I do like seeing our guys compete like they did last night. Played with a chip on their shoulder which was good to see.

Re: Great Win
We ran a lot more patterned offense last night than I have seen. Still too many early shots without and passing at all though.

Re: Great Win
And undoubtedly the Aggie BB squad had an effect on the crowd, too. IMO it isn't either the crowd or the team to credit or blame game in and game out. There is actually a symbiosis (a relationship between two [groups] in which each [group] is dependent upon and receives reinforcement, whether beneficial or detrimental, from the other) going on. Both parts need to contribute.Chupamedia wrote: ↑January 4th, 2018, 10:15 amAlthough the Spectrum was only half full, it was like the old Spectrum again for those last 4 minutes of regulation and OT. Now as far as Spectrum Magic goes, that's more than symbiosis; It's synergy (the interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements, contributions, etc.). It seems there was some of that going on the other night!
Hopefully there will be more to come.
