Candidates

Post by thetrueaggie » March 20th, 2018, 11:40 am

I heard from a pretty reliable source a list of names who have been interviewed and are being considered:

Mark Fox
Barret Peery
Travis DeCuire

I am sure there are more to this list as was referenced in another post, just thought I'd throw this out there.

I'm just going to throw out a name here.

He has D1 head coaching experience. He knows the local recruiting scene. His team is about to get stuck in a terrible conference that will be lucky to get one bid to the NCAA tournament, but where they will finish in second place three out of four years.

Dave Rose.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate you sharing but I just wanted to point out that I think it's 100% axiomatic that these 3 would definitely be candidates.

Several of the candidates mentioned in conjunction with USU are candidates for the opening at Washington.

That's a 2017 Article. Washington is not currently looking for a head coach.

But it is interesting that it lists Lloyd as coach in waiting at Gonzaga. If true, will be difficult to pull him away.

I don't think there's a need to be nervous right now. Now, if it's two days after the NCAA tournament has finished and we still don't have a name, then I'd worry.

I think April 11th is the first day of the LOI signing period. It would be nice to get a guy soon enough to maybe grab a recruit or 2..Do you have any scholarships open?

Yes we do. Do you have some players you'd be willing to donate? I believe we have two at present, and I'm a bit hopeful we may have three available. We'll see what personnel decisions get made. And your comeback win was an amazing thing to behold. Good luck against Loyola.

Thanks..It has been fun so far..

I don't think the Pack has any players they can spare but you can still get some help. If Spencer Nelson has been holding down the fort, I would guess he is keeping tabs on all your recruits..It may come down to if your new guy is a closer. I hope you get a good coach. The MW is better with USU getting good again.
