Re: Aggies playing professionally
I don’t think I’ve ever shared this story, so, here it comes:
Last year, I took the Utah bar exam. On the first day, I saw Gary Wilkinson (hard to miss) and chatted with him for a minute. He said he could have kept playing overseas, but, he wanted to come state side. He also said he wished Utah State had a law school so he didn’t have to go to the UofU (I chose BYU for financial reasons).
I just looked him up and he passed the bar and is working for Snell & Willmer.

Brady Jardine works in finance and still lives in the valley. Doing quite well for himself too.

Good for him. That 2008-2009 Aggie team was probably Stew's best. If only Jaycee would have been one year younger.BLUERUFiO wrote: ↑August 4th, 2018, 7:32 amI don’t think I’ve ever shared this story, so, here it comes:

I had finance classes with Brady. Dude is smart. He always had very intelligent questions. It doesn't surprise me to hear he is doing well in finance.trevordude wrote:Brady Jardine works in finance and still lives in the valley. Doing quite well for himself too.

My firm interviewed him for a 2L clerkship but I didn't know we would be until I saw him roaming the halls. He was definitely hard to miss. Not sure if we offered him or not but Snell is a good gig.BLUERUFiO wrote: ↑August 4th, 2018, 7:32 amI don’t think I’ve ever shared this story, so, here it comes:

Re: Aggies playing professionally
Good for him - I'm sure he much prefers spending countless hours in the gym as opposed to grinding out billable hours at his desk. However, as you indicate, a career in law offers a much longer career and something he can do state side. Also, I'm guessing the $$ he earned overseas likely means he was able to pay for most, if not all, of law school out of pocket and avoid the huge student loans that bury so many in our profession.BLUERUFiO wrote: ↑August 4th, 2018, 7:32 amI don’t think I’ve ever shared this story, so, here it comes:

Hail Aggies!
Re: Aggies playing professionally
For those interested, Tai Wesley's team, the New Zealand Breakers are set to play a preseason game against the Suns in Phoenix on Oct 3. It's a relatively short distance for most Aggie fans (compared to New Zealand) and would be fun to see him play again!
