Aggies look really good today, and I don't understand the negative stuff.ChicagoAggie wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2018, 12:33 amHoly s***!! Let's argue and b**** about which Aggie team would have beaten this year's UCI team. This year's Aggies are 7-1 and were competitive in their only loss (ASU). Good stuff! Expecting them to continue to improve!

Bless you, Craig Smith and staff!

The UCI message board was very impressed. Had a tough time with our NBA center.

I agree generally, but it's not just addition by subtraction. Even if Koby McEwen may be a better player than Neemias Queta in a vaccuum, Queta is *exactly* the piece last year's team was missing. You add him to last year's team and they fair substantially better, even with Duryea as the head coach.AggiesForever wrote: ↑December 1st, 2018, 10:17 pmThis team had talent some talent last year, too. But its amazing what happens with addition by subtraction. Positive attitudes mean a lot these days!

You can see the evidence of this sentiment when Queta is on the bench, the team is still a decent team but not the same. We get stretches of time where we can’t score, we give up offensive rebounds, the team defense suffers because guards can drive with no fear or pull up and shoot. I saw the same things happen when Stall played and when he left the game. A large post player provides more than a stat sheet shows and Queta is a pretty good post player.MarioWest wrote:I agree generally, but it's not just addition by subtraction. Good win! This thread is very strange in that people are arguing in it about Duryea. I guess there must be an imaginary group of people that supported duryea and wanted him to stay coaching the team... In reality there was only one guy. No idea why people keep bringing this up. We've moved on and we have Coach Smith now.
GO Aggies!

I think it’s the drastic change in how Smith has gone about things compared to Timmy that continues to bring the subject up. It’s so drastic that it’s amazing to think Timmy was a D1 Head Coach for 3 years.

Gary Wilkinson getting over 1,000 points in 2 years is impressive.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑December 1st, 2018, 11:07 pmThere have only been 3. Sam should be moving up this list quickly:

GCU picked up Louis Wilson as an asst. coach. He must have some magic potion that beats Boise.
