We need a big-time point guard
We can’t have Merrill playing point guard for us it limits him in other ways. And what happened to the Knights. Are they under suspension?

Can’t shoot. Can’t take care of the ball. Crap PG play from anyone not named Sam Merrill. Taylor in a funk. Did I miss anything?

Agreed. We also shouldn’t have Taylor or Porter ever on the floor except against bad teams. Bean needs more minutes. He has the potential that Taylor has never had.

Don’t we only have one scholarship left to give? We have the No. 1 recruiting class in the MW after the fall signing period.

I would love to see Knight get more time to develop. It’s hard to improve when he gets spot minutes, but his potential is much higher than Ainge or Porter.

Re: We need a big-time point guard
The Knights busting is the biggest reason for our struggles. When JK3 played well against SMC and ASU we looked like a different team. TK has looked every bit of a true freshman and I think his talents were a bit overstated.
Figures that we finally get our big time big man in Queta, only to get the worst PG play collectively I've seen at USU so far. Sure could've used Koby this year...

I'm more with MJA on this. TK needs to learn to settle down before we hand him the reins. I guess you could argue that he needs in-game experience to improve that, but I just feel like he's a net negative when he's out there. True that CA and AP are good for basically 0 points against a good, long, athletic team like Nevada. But at least they don't turn the ball over every time they touch it.
Man, we're in bad shape at the PG position if I'm arguing in favor of CA and AP!?

There may be only on left, but there are a couple of players that need to be recruited over.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑January 2nd, 2019, 11:22 pmDon’t we only have one scholarship left to give? We have the No. 1 recruiting class in the MW after the fall signing period.

Stall needs to go at this point. It’s been how many years now that he’s been taking a scholarship?GUS wrote:There may be only on left, but there are a couple of players that need to be recruited over.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑January 2nd, 2019, 11:22 pmDon’t we only have one scholarship left to give?
