What about TK?
I didn’t get to watch but he played 19 min, and had 10 pts with a good FG%. Seems like his best stat line of the year.

Re: What about TK?
He played really well last night. He has a good ability to break down a defender and get to the rim. Now finishing at the rim is a different story. He also made some great passes and was able to know down some jumpers. If he can get going this will really help the team. As with most Freshman they struggle a lot of times. He seems to be turning the corner and according to Smith he has been practicing really well.

Re: What about TK?
The biggest difference to me seems to be that he is very comfortable handling the ball. It's more second nature to him as it should be with PG's. I feel like when Sam or Able or Crew have it they are constantly worried about their body position relative to the ball and making sure they are fending off guys that are quicker than them that are trying to get a steal. TK's eyes and head are always up and he seems more aware of the entire court. Brito is actually very good at this too, his head is almost never down at the ball, he's always scanning the court as he dribbles.
It was nice to see the rest of the team go out of their way to encourage TK last night after he did something well. Maybe he's catching on to what coach Smith wants him to do now because his lack of playing time doesn't seem like it was due to lack of confidence.

Re: What about TK?
Porter and Ainge have been average at best. So I say give the reigns over to TK and let him go. He's a Freshman, so you might as well get into the development mode. He can only get better. I don't know that we can get much more out of Porter and Ainge than they have already shown.

Re: What about TK?
The biggest issue issue with TKs line last night was 0 assist, That not great for a PG.

Re: What about TK?
He played well last night and he is a freshman. In years past, we wouldn't even be playing him much. I hope he continues to work hard, get time, and develop.

He looked good, and would have had a couple assists if shots were not missed.

I wonder if part of the reason he hasn't seen more playing time is because of a lack of defensive effort. He's had a tough time staying in front of guys. Seams like someone with his athletic ability should be a better defender. Hopefully he's figuring it out. It's nice to have another guy out there that has to be accounted for by the defense.

Re: What about TK?
I think TK deserves more time at the point. He speed up the pace last night and also played pretty good D overall

I was listening to this this morning. I think what coach said was that TK has had the best 10 days of practice of his Aggie career. Still good tho.

Re: What about TK?
Could this coincide with another event that occurred roughly 10 days ago? Hmmmmm.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑January 17th, 2019, 4:08 pmI was listening to this this morning. I think what coach said was that TK has had the best 10 days of practice of his Aggie career. Still good tho.

Re: What about TK?
Are you saying what I think you're saying? If so, it makes perfect sense. Could you imagine someone with your same name in practice with you day after day? It must have been tiring for BOTH Knights. I mean, one just up and left to a Big Sky school, and the other has blossomed now that he doesn't have to share any of that "Knight" spotlight.aggies22 wrote: ↑January 17th, 2019, 5:18 pmCould this coincide with another event that occurred roughly 10 days ago? So possibly not a coincidence. Two Knights may have been one Knight too many.
