Queta’s pick six
Queta’s pick six
That might have been most amazing Aggie basketball play I have seen in my 49 years. There aren’t that many 6’11” basketball players at any level on the planet who could do that while being guarded the whole way down the court.
I just wish I could have heard Al Lewis make the call. His voice would have risen three octaves at the finish of that drive.

When it happened I told my son that was the best individual play I've ever seen in the Spectrum

Right there with Butler's put back and Rolle's dunk.

Re: Queta’s pick six
Queta had an awesome all-around game tonight with that pick six being the top highlight. The second place highlight for me was his spin move finger roll. That was George Gervin in Hakeem Olajuwon’s body.

I tuned in a few minutes after that play. Wow. That guy is A TALENT. If the Ags can keep him for four years, it will be a borderline miracle.

He made it look so easy, too. To my extremely untrained and unknowledgable eyes it didn’t look like that big a deal at first. Goes to show how athletic he is.

Re: Queta’s pick six
It was amazing. It is not a play you expect the center to make, but rather the most athletic wing on your team. The way he attacked the rim it’s not just skill, it shows his mindset. I think that’s what’s most impressive; is the mindset that a freshman has to attack that waytrombone_ninja wrote: ↑January 21st, 2019, 12:43 amHe made it look so easy, too. Re: Queta’s pick six
Does anyone have a replay of the spin move? I can’t remember at what point in the game that was so surfing through the game at work is not gonna work.

Re: Queta’s pick six
I'm not sure what you guys see in this guy. Definitely not a pro prospect, can't jump, missed the three pointer last night. Carvacho shot a high percentage against him. Can't stay out of foul trouble, turns the ball over. Maybe by his fourth year he will be good enough to play Europe.
NBA teams should look else where if they are looking for talent.

Re: Queta’s pick six
Yeah, I see where you’re going with this. You are right, the NBA should ignore him for a few years and let him get better. ;-)Blitz79 wrote: ↑January 21st, 2019, 1:33 pmI'm not sure what you guys see in this guy. Re: Queta’s pick six
Totally. Probably barely Summit League talent. He may be recruited over and end up transferring to Westminster or Albertson's Training Academy. Have to take a wait-and-see approach. Maybe could contribute in garbage minutes against some of our weaker OOC foes.

Re: Queta’s pick six
It was with probably about 9:00 left in the game, just going off my memory. I wish he would have dribbled one more time because he had a wide open opportunity for a monster dunk. He probably didn’t expect it to open up like that.

Re: Queta’s pick six
That's cute and all, maybe they'll start throwing the ball into him instead of jacking up stupid threes and turning it over.dogie wrote:Watch the bench's reaction after the spin move.
