Hutson claiming they didn’t get the calls tonight is pretty comical...

Sad thing for him is they are quicker than us. And Everybody but their center is more athletic, yet we beat them up in both games this year. Played with 4 to 9 point leads for the majority of both games despite the loss in logan.

They didnt get the calls (which i actually thought it was one of the better reffed games) but what if they had an off night shooting the 3 with us. Itd be a blow out.

He wanted the little bump fouls, but couldn't see the hand checks on our guards all night. I'm glad they didn't get to that point.

What if Huggins didn't have a career night every time he played USU? Wtf is that about.

He played for NMSU. They tend to do that to us.

Then Hutson says, "we both had a quick turnaround and I think it benefited them more than us." Whaaaat??? Really?? We are on the road and playing at their place!! I beg to differ. In no way it was to our advantage.

Anyone else notice a trend of coaches after losing at home to us? Paul Weir and now Hutston with some funny postgame comments. They're just embarrassed our less talented team outworks them.

One thing I truly love about Smith is that he does not sit and whine every missed call. He will talk to the refs and let them know of something that was missed, but he does not dwell on it nor make an (I can't express myself without swearing) of himself. For the most part the team follows his example.

the most egregious missed call was the play later in the 2nd half on the left side of the court down low when the Fresno guy (Taylor, was it?) shoved Sam down by initiating body contact towards the hoop AND a blatantly extended forearm. bad no-call there. worst i saw all night. IIRC that was right before Abel got laid out with a shoulder to the forehead (clean, tough screen IMO).... If anything I would say we got the worst end of the officiating?

Exactly - down the stretch when Merrill made layup when ball hung up on rim forever he got bumped and taken to ground - should have been and 1
