Did we show any interest in Jake Hendricks, out of Sky View and Southern Idaho and now playing for Wyoming? He looks to be a pretty good 3-point shooter and not bad in other aspects of the game.

Yes, I remember several discussions about that Hendrich’s kid.

He would've been a better addition to this team than Ainge and Fakira. He has a very similar game to Miller. High and quick release, elevates on the three and hits a high percentage.

Setting an awfully high bar there.

I wouldn't bag on the true freshman with good size. Give him a year or two to develop before we declare him a bust. If he was already polished, he likely wouldn't be playing at USU.

Ainge, I'd be willing to see what happens next season, but I don't know that there has been much progress with him since last year. He might start looking for a transfer? I don't know though.

THAT, my friend, is 100% fair. Haven't seen much out of him yet that shows a whole lot of potential, but definitely too early to declare him a bust.

I'll be shocked if Fakira is here for a full 4 years. He already runs like he's 70 years old and has even worse footwork than the long line of foreign big men that came before him and were shown the door after one year. Maybe this staff will feel some sort of obligation to him or give him the benefit of the doubt since he was one of the two Summit League recruits they brought with them but I'm not seeing anything in him that makes me think he can play at the MWC level.

Guys can always develop. His future doesn’t look bright now but many said after Jordan Loves freshman campaign he wasn’t a D1 quality QB. I think Smith can maximize the talent out of anybody. I’m hopeful for Fakira.
