We're now listed pretty consistently as a 9 seed in the Bracketologists I follow. I know some on the board are still skeptical that we're in the field so I'll continue to watch the bubble.

Games of interest today(using Joe Lenardi's Bracketology):
Seed watch
VCU(8-seed) LOST TO RHODE ISLAND
UCF(9-seed) LOST BIG to Memphis
Minnesota(10-seed) BEAT Purdue
Washington(8-seed) BEAT Colorado
Seton Hall(10-seed) plays Marquette at 7:00
Iowa(8-seed) GOT DESTROYED BY Michigan
Arizona State(10-seed) plays Oregon at 9:30PM

Bubble Watch
Ohio State(last 4 byes) LOST TO Michigan State
Florida(last 4 in) BEAT LSU
Xavier(Next 4 out) LOST TO Villanova
Alabama(First 4 out) LOST BIG TO Kentucky
Temple(last 4 byes) plays Wichita State at 7:00
Iowa also lost BIG to Michigan.

Again, using Joe Lenardi's bracket.

Minnesota jumped us with their big win. We're now projected as a 10 seed.

Unless they win the conference tourney’s teams should not be in with a sub .500 conference record.

Today we'll be tracking 8, 9, 10, and 11 seeds(from both Joe Lenardi's and Jerry Palm's bracketologies) since we're currently a 8-10 seed.

Florida(11 seed) plays Auburn at 11:00
Minnesota(9 seed) play Michigan at 1:30
Seton Hall(9 seed) plays Villanova at 4:30
Washington(8 seed) plays Oregon at 8:30

Not many games, and not a lot of moving room. I'm still thinking we're a 9-10 seed. Beating(or losing to) San Diego State won't move us much. Even if the right teams lose too.

I think I want Washington to win to ensure the P12 is a one bid league. I’d rather a ten seed than an 8/9.

But if 8/9, I'd prefer Gonzaga than the other blue blood 1 seeds next. Only cause I just saw them lose, no deeper analysis than that.

The Aggies have punched their ticket. I'm not worried about the bubble anymore. And I'd still rather be an 8/9.

ESPN updated their bubble watch and has now moved USU from “work to do” to “should be in”

At this point in the process “should be in” doesn’t make a lot of sense. There are only two outcomes now, either a win and and auto bid or a loss and an at large. It shouldn’t be too hard for them to go out on a limb and predict that a USU loss would still lead to an at large bid.

It’s more that I just want the Pac-12 to be a one-bid league because I hate the Pac-12.

Not sure why we are tracking teams BELOW where we should end up. Why not track the teams projected to be 6, 7, and 8 seeds? I'm too lazy and too buzzed to do it myself.

What if we would have lost today? Those teams below us would have been of interest.

I guess I don't think about the world in terms of "what if we lost?" I think about the world in terms of "how high can we go?"

EDIT: I don't mean to be disrespectful. I appreciate that someone is making the effort to track anything that might affect the Ags and report on it since I am too lazy to do it myself. But when I check on this thread, I keep thinking I'm going to see how the teams projected to be right above us are doing, but I see the opposite.

You do not want that, a 10 seed would be better as they could make a run.

Hey Aggies! How about a "thank you" for providing a Quad 1 win for y'all?

Maybe we see you in the tourney. Who knows?

It is truly appreciated. Nice work trucking your tournament. I’ll never forget going to the big west tournament in 2005. My first tournament as an Aggie.
