Duryea's Contract Dispute? Settled?
I've searched on this forum and through Google and can't find any information about the final verdict regarding Duryea's contract dispute, did this eventually get sorted out? Is it still in the courts? Just curious if anyone has any information regarding the matter.
For what it's worth I predicted Duryea would lose in court.

Duryea has a new battle to fight. Late Sunday night he went to the local Albertson's to pick up a quart of extra vanilla frozen yogurt, but when he got to the store the doors were locked. He still can't figure out why they closed a whole hour early, but his lawyer is looking into it. He really wanted that frozen yogurt.

His performance in courts was what got him fired.

I have no inside info or confirmation, but I'm guessing the fact that we never heard anything further on this means the parties settled quietly out of court, with one of the terms being that neither party would discuss the settlement amount.JSHarvey wrote: ↑March 12th, 2019, 2:23 pmI've searched on this forum and through Google and can't find any information about the final verdict regarding Duryea's contract dispute, did this eventually get sorted out? Or maybe we offered the Duryea's a warm glass of shut the hell up, and they took it.FormerlyVegasAggie71 wrote: ↑March 12th, 2019, 2:44 pmI have no inside info or confirmation, but I'm guessing the fact that we never heard anything further on this means the parties settled quietly out of court, with one of the terms being that neither party would discuss the settlement amount.JSHarvey wrote: ↑March 12th, 2019, 2:23 pmI've searched on this forum and through Google and can't find any information about the final verdict regarding Duryea's contract dispute, did this eventually get sorted out? A donor stepped up to make things right for the Duryea's.

Utah State paying in full through June 2020. No donor money involved.

Re: Duryea's Contract Dispute? Settled?
I don't have any inside knowledge. However, considering that his salary as a head coach at Utah State was on the low end, and the fact that he has a job as an (I can't express myself without swearing)(istant) at Boise, which gets subtracted from what Utah State would owe, perhaps the difference was small enough that it made it easier to settle out of court. Who knows?

Well, it's not like a donor pays Tim directly, but the guy who made the contribution with the intent it be used to pay off the contract would sure like to think that there was a donor involved.frankiedoeshollywood wrote: ↑March 12th, 2019, 4:35 pmUtah State paying in full through June 2020. It was worth every penny to get Duryea out of here. He was not a good coach.

Yep, a brilliant decision by Hartwell that looks obvious now, but was not a sure thing at the time. Some Aggie fans wanted him to get another year and the Herald Journal was really upset about his firing.

Speaking of, I wonder how Usufan5477 is enjoying Boise. We had to get it resolved or else usufan5477 would tell us how unfair we are!
