Re: Bracket: Calling It
Na'way bra, we'll likely lose to Gonzaga! But then again, we DID beat St. Mary's, who beat them in the Wet Goat Conf. tourney... so there is that!

Re: Bracket: Calling It
This would be my dream scenario, but I think USU would be a terrible matchup for Kansas.
Kansas does not shoot the three well, is not that athletic, and relies on a finesse big man that Nemi would eat for lunch.
Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll ever know as I don’t see USU or Kansas making it to the second weekend.

I really like Udoka Azubuike for Kansas and the game is in Kansas City. I think he'll be a problem for Queta. He'll be the first decent big man that Queta sees. Currently Azubuike is an NBA prospect.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑March 18th, 2019, 10:10 amThis would be my dream scenario, but I think USU would be a terrible matchup for Kansas.

The one thing that rarely happens is for all of the #1 and #2 seeds to reach the elite 8. Which ones will lose?
Re: Bracket: Calling It
Is Azubuike going to play? I thought he had season-ending surgery on his hand/wrist earlier in the season.AggieFBObsession wrote: ↑March 18th, 2019, 10:41 amI really like Udoka Azubuike for Kansas and the game is in Kansas City. Re: Bracket: Calling It
The crazy thing is that this isn't just a dream. It's a possibility. It's amazing that it's a possibility given where our hopes were at the beginning of the season. Although I don't like our chances much if we can get past UNC.

Re: Bracket: Calling It
Correct — Udoka Azubuike is out. LaGerald Vick is on a leave of absence. Silvio De Sousa is somehow on a two-year suspension over a $2,500 payment from Adidas to his handler that De Sousa allegedly did not know about.
Kansas' season has been a (I can't express myself without swearing) sandwich. If we could somehow beat Washington and UNC, I would really like USU's chances of advancing to the Elite 8.
